DAY FIVE
Taylor’s smile just lit up his world. He tugged on her hand. “Come up here, Baby.” She hesitated. He didn’t like that. He dropped his voice deeper and narrowed his eyes. “Taylor. Up here. Now.”
Her eyes went wide, then she scrambled onto the bed. He pulled her to his side, placing her head on his chest. She was here, and his men were safe, he slowly let himself relax. His lungs felt like they were on fire, but no matter how much Joe got on his ass, it was worth it. In the military they never left a man behind. And to him, it was the same with a Dept. These were his men, he was never going to let one of them burn to save his own ass.
Zach sighed. “Marcus, put the mask back on. Taylor, please see that he uses it. It’s important.”
