KEVIN'S POV

Handling this company for the past ten years has been nothing but my pride. We have achieved our goals, won so many awards and contracts. Now my biggest disappointment is our company's inability to get a contract with one of the best companies in Los Angeles, California. I just don't know what exactly that company wants from us? We've provided every single information they needed but they keep on turning down our offer.

“Good morning Sir, you have a business meeting with one of our key investor today after lunch. He wants to pull out his investment, claiming that we are a failure.” my personal assistant said while walking with me from the entrance.

I was shocked but as always, I kept my cool and asked,“And why is that so?”

She brought out a file and responded,“He said he is not getting enough profit from us but he's earning a lot from his other investments. His excuse might look so lame Sir, but he has made a point. About three years now, he has not been given any reasonable profit, meanwhile he is one of our highest investors.”

“Call me Miss Cassie Baron, but before that, give her the reports on this investor, ask her to analyze it, look for a solution to this problem, thus, the mission is to make him stay and meet me in my office in the next one hour.”

“But Sir…it is impossible to make our investor stay because he has…”

“No buts Lady, call Cassie to resume work and think about this before our meeting Lady.”

“Very well Sir, I'll do just that.

“Very good.” I replied and left.

I wish Helena was here to see how successful I have become. I think I loved her too much. Anyway, thinking of Ariana, I think she's growing into a spoiled brat which is becoming out of hand. The way she treated Fredrick and Cassie was just so uncalled for. She made me loose the opportunity of having a decent homemade food for breakfast today. At the end of the day, she ended having a taste of the food. I was still lost in my thoughts when my phone rang.

“Daddy! Hello! Are you there?” Ariana said.

“Are you eating or chewing something?

“Yes dad. I'm having breakfast in my room.”

“Breakfast? But I didn't get any notification on money withdrawal. Where did you get the food from?”

“Remember that your female employee that visited us yesterday with Red? I took some of the food she prepared today and hid it, it's so delicious dad, trust me. She cooks really good.”

“Ariana?! You told me to let her take the food home because she will think she holds a better place in my life and…”

“Must you always believe everything your eighteen year old girl tells you? I know you're hungry, cause the restaurant owners unfortunately are on break. You can ask your new mistress to send you some food to eat. But for now, I just want to let you know that, I'll be going for a sleepover in my friend's house, so in case you don't see me in the house tonight, I'll be there. I'll come back tomorrow. Goodbye dad. Have a great day. Take care, love you.”

I couldn't just make out what Ariana just told me, does that mean…oh my goodness…this girl is totally…oh…I'm so hungry, it's almost lunch time. I was still lost in my thoughts when there was a knock on my door…

“Come in the door is open.”

AUTHOR'S POV

Cassie walked into Kevin's office and greeted him. He didn't respond but Cassie never bothered because she's getting used to his cold-hearted attitude.

“Have a seat Miss Cassie, I know you already know why you are here and I believe you have a plan already for this very huge problem that this company has.”

“Well Sir, I wish I had more time to critically analyze his report, but right now, if the company really wants to keep this investor, we have develop a strategic plan which I don't think can be done before we have this meeting with him.”

“What?! So you mean, you came all the way from your house to tell me this? How possible? This investor we are talking about here will not listen to anything apart from a reasonable reason why he should stay.”

“This is my solution, Mr Kevin, it's either you leave it for me to do or you take the task from me. Please make me talk to him so that I'll try and make him come for the meeting tomorrow morning.”
