Barrett's POV
I stormed out of the room, only to nearly bump into someone I really disliked.
"I apologise, Morgana. I didn’t see you there." I bowed slightly at her, and even though she shot me a killer look, her expression quickly changed. Her surprise and smile seemed so fake that it almost made me feel sick.
"Barrett, I doubt Alaric gives you so much to do that you need to be in such a rush," she said, making sure her beautiful red gown wasn't wrinkled.
"No, he wouldn't," I replied. However, when I tried to move past her, she stopped me.
"Barrett, I’m actually happy to see you. Please do me a favour."
I sighed and turned back to face her. "What is it, Morgana?"
"We have a secret with the Alpha that is ready to be revealed."
