Daisy and I look at each other as the knock sounds on the door again. "Open up, you stupid woman." He yelled from the other side of the door. I cover Daisy's ears and whisper to her. "I want you to count to hundred after I go, I pull out the food I had hidden in my dress and hand it to her to eat. "I'm scared." She whispers looking at the door as another knock sounded. "Don’t be, I'll be alright." I say giving her a reassuring smile and placing a kiss on her forehead. I push her away from the door and signal for her to hide. He'll be in an even foul mood if he sees her. Once I was sure she was safely hidden, I take a deep breath and open the door. "What took you so long?" He asks his pretty blue eyes glowing with hate. "A-a-alpha I-I-I w-w." He cut me off with the raise of his hand. "Save it for who cares." I nodded and tucked my lips in. He begins to move and I follow behind him silently. We get to his room and he opens the door going in and slamming the door in my face. I wait a second before I open the door and go in. "Have a bath, you stink." He said going to stand in front of the window in his room. I move quietly, he hates it when I make a noise around him. I get to the bathroom and strip quickly to have my bath. Knowing his temper, I probably have less than five minutes to shower and be out. I pour some shampoo in my hand and rub it into my hair washing and rinsing it off quickly. All the greasiness Is not out yet but it will have to do for now. Just as I lathered my body with shower gel, I hear the bathroom door open. I don't turn around but I can feel my heart in my mouth. I can hear his clothes falling to the floor and I hear him get in the shower but I never for once turn around. I feel his rough hands on my back and waist and he forcefully bend me over pulling at my hair. I don't make a sound and I don't move; I stay perfectly still as he does as he pleases with me. "The moon goddess was punishing me by giving me a mate like you." He groans out as he pulls my hair harder and his open palm lands on my back. I wince a little but say nothing. "You're the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I pray to the moon goddess every day for you and that little runt you have in that basement to die." Another open hand slap. Tears slowly trail down my face mixed with the water. After a while he releases his hold on my hair and pushes me like I disgust him. I disgust myself! I wash up quickly and step out of the shower. I quickly dry off with one of the towels there and get dressed. I step out of the room not making eye contact with him and heading straight for the door. "Who said you could leave?" His cold voice stops me in my tracks. I turn back around but keep my eyes on the floor. "Come here." He motions for me with his finger. I take a step from the door towards him but his cold voice stops me again. "Not like that, crawl to me." I force the tears back as I get on my knees and crawl to me. "I want you to bark." I don't stop my tears this time as they Cascade down my face. I bark as I crawl to him, I stop when I get to him. He takes his belt and rolls it around his hand. "Crawl back to the door and bark." He instructs again. I turn around and do as he instruct, his belt lands on my skin out of nowhere. I scream in pain and stop. "I didn't ask you to stop." He yells at me, his belt landing on me again and again. I stop moving and fall to the floor in a fetal position. He repeatedly uses his belt on me till I'm sure welts would have started appearing on my skin. After a while he stops and I lie there not moving. I stay there for hours thinking on my luck and how the moon goddess has dealt me the worst fate. Giving me a mate who has rejected me but has refused to allow me accept his rejection, allowing me to live in constant hell counting the days till someone in the pack kills me. It was probably mid night already when I hear the loud snores of alpha Kayden. I gulp down in fear and try to stand up. I wince a little as the pain in my back intensifies, I bite down on my lip as I stand up fully. I check once again to see if he's really asleep, he looks so innocent and at peace. There's no sign on his sleeping face that he's a monster. I carefully slip out of the room and tip toe down the stairs. I was praying hard to the moon goddess not to meet anyone, especially a drunk male. I make it back to the basement and carefully slip in sighing in relief that I made it back in one piece, may be not one piece but there was no one else outside that door to hurt me. I push off the door and reach the table where I keep ointments, I look at the worm-eaten mattress to see Daisy asleep. I lift up my dress and carefully apply the ointment on my back, I try to reach the farther places on my back but fail to. I suddenly feel a small hand on my back. "Let me help you with that mummy." I hear Daisy's voice. I didn't even hear her wake up. I pass the ointment to her and she carefully does it trying not to hurt me. Even if the world is cruel the one thing that's still good in my life is Daisy.
