“Yes, father?” Prince Jeongin responded to his father’s call. “In my office.” Jeongin opened the door to his father’s office and sat down in his favorite blue armchair.
“You're getting married, Jeonginnie.”
“Oh oka- Wait, what?”
“You heard me, you're getting married.”
“To who?!”
“King Bang Christopher Chan of the Far Kingdom.”
“Is he at least handsome?”
“He had ice blood.”
“Oh, handsome, dominant and rich!”
“Innie, there's more to a good husband than being rich and sexy.”
Jeongin shrugged. “I've never met him. Why am I marrying him, anyway?”
The King sighed. “Military alliance. The Sea of Ashes will likely march on us if we don't solidify the trade. The only Kingdom with a military bigger than theirs is the Far Kingdom.” Jeongin flopped over the armchair. “When's the wedding?”
“Sunday.”
“You've gotta be kidding me. It's Thursday!”
“I'm being generous, he wants to marry tomorrow. Go to the spa and then choose a suit. Nothing ridiculous, something white and sophisticated.”
Making a face of annoyance, Jeongin Stood up and made a beeline for the door.
“Oh, and Jeongin? You're still an intact virgin, right?”
Blushing, Jeongin looked down. “I don't know if I'm intact or not but nobody has been between my legs.”
The king nodded, it was unlikely that Christopher would create a fuss if Jeongin didn't bleed, Jeongin would be his second partner. He knew about Jeongin's use of pleasure toys, he understood the desires all teenagers experienced. Better a toy than a man.
So long as Jeongin’s husband took his virginity, the king couldn't care less what happened in Jeongin's bedchambers at night.
