“Have fun today, okay?” Eloise said, getting a bit emotional about sending Ollie to daycare. It seems like it was only yesterday when he was taking his first steps and saying his first words. And now, he’s actually going to school.
“I will, mommy,” Ollie smiled. “I’ll go to school and make many friends!”
“Remember what mommy told you?”
“Always be kind,” he said with a smile. His front tooth had just fallen out, so he looked extra adorable.
“That’s right,” she softly ruffled his hair.
“I’ll come back in the afternoon to fetch you, okay? Wait for mommy patiently with your teacher.”
He enthusiastically nodded his head.
“Okay, you can go now, my baby. Have fun!” she called out as he ran in the direction of his classroom.
Eloise smiled as she watched his retreating figure.
