Chapter 3: Mini Her

"I do not know what to react. I do not know if I should be happy and celebrating because finally after 2 months of being quiet and busy on your work, someone has watered your dry plants! But at the same time I wanted to punch you for leaving him just like that. He seemed like a good person though," Bessie exclaimed, she was on the other line. Emily went home quickly and took an quick shower after she left Alex in his house, and she went straight to her work because she was almost late luckily it had no traffic that time so she was not.

She felt like she needed to tell this to her friends but they had no time already for a meet up just for a storytelling that was wjy Emily messaged on their gc that she was going to tell something about last night and just call her or let her know if everyone was not busy, so she could tell it in one go. Probably, ten or twenty minutes after she sent that messaged, her phone rang and their group message appeared on her phone's screen.

They called.

"Guys are always like that after s*x, Bessie. They will act like they care about you but they actually not. Some guys will just leave you sleeping on their bed while they are nowhere to be found and will just leave a note or something saying he left for something like that and you should leave before he got back," Emily paused a second while she was arranging the files at the organizer. "And I don't want anyone to do it to me so I am doing it first before they could do or before they planned on doing it," she continued.

Emily knew what other guys are up to, but unfortunately, she kept on generalizing it. She kept on saying that 'all' guys are the same even though she has not tried all of the guys out there.

"Hey! Maybe you are forgetting I am here and I am a guy!" Leo exclaimed, his voice was loud that made Emily distance her ears from her phone so it won't affect her eardrums. Actually, he almost forgot that Leo was there, all of them were at work and some of their friends were at work and could not join the session, maybe she could spill it to them sooner or Bessie and Leo could tell the others instead.

Leo was at his work and could not sometimes talk because some of his co-workers were there and he might got heard.

"Oh....." Emily said and chuckled as she sat on her swivel chair and played on it until she felt dizzy, that was the moment she stopped from doing it. "Sorry but not sorry, Leo. Just facts. Just don't take it if you are not one of them you know," Emily said and that made Leo created a small noise, he was a bit annoyed, but that was a joke only. That was one of his hobbit, acting like he was annoyed wherein fact he was really not.

"But how was it, Emily?" Bessie curiously asked. Emily leaned her head on the head rest of her swivel chair and looked up at the ceilling, reminiscing what happened on their night. She could not deny the fact that she really enjoyed the night with him, Emily suddenly bit her lower lip trying to hide her smile while she was recalling how Alex pounded her to the point that her face was burried deeply on the pillow, and she could not do anything but scream, make noise, or call him by his name.

"He was good," She said proudly, she was still trying to suppress her smile. "That was all?" Bessie asked, she seemed like waiting for a more detailed story telling. Emily, as a good friend, who quenched the thirst of her friend from what happened last night, she told her everything. Not really everything, she told them how Alex made him feel good that night and how she tried to made Alex feel good on her as well. Just mutual pleasure and she thought she did great on it because they was a time where Alex growned loudly and threw his head backward.

"Okay, that was hot and intense. I am wondering when would be my next one," Bessie said softly wishing for a man to do the same what Alex did tk Emily. Their call suddenly became silent, Leo could not talk anymore and was muted probably because he was doing something important or talking to his co-worker, but for sure he was listening carefully. He was the type of person who wanted to part of the 'girls talk' althought he is a guy and he is also the type of friend who does not want to miss anything and everything, that was why he was there listening while doing his work.

"But serious question, did he....." Bessie could not end her words, and Emily was bitting the skin in her lips while she was waiting for Bessie to end her words or whatever she wanted to ask. "Did he released it in your inside?" Emily blinked repeatedly, that question brought senses to her body. Due to the pleasure and sensation she felt during an intimate time with him she could not think or ask Alex if where did he release it.

"I think.... he did inside," Emily said. The line went silent again. "Hello?" Emily asked when minutes passed already and still no one answered. She checked her phone screen and the call was still ongoing, she stood up and walked a bit because probably the signal was messing up with her. Seconds later, her phone vibrated, she opened it and saw Bessie's all caps message and followed by Leo's message.

Bessie's message was, "THE HECK YOU JUST DID, EMILY STERLING?"

She thought that she will take that message seriously because Bessie called her on her full name. After she read her message, she did the same to Leo's message. Compared to Bessie, Leo's message was just chill but it gave her goosebumps, "Good luck, bestie,"

Emily put her phone on her ears and assured the both of them. "I am not fertile anyone, trust me. So please calm down," She said calmly, she heard a deep sighed from the other line, it was from bessie.

The call ended after she kept on assuring both of her friends. An hour after the call the group message was so active and noisy because they were asking what happened to Emily, the latter did not reply to their messages because she got busy all of a sudden again, she just let Bessie and Leo tell the others everything while she was busy working. Emily muted the conversatiom as well to avoid disturbance.

Due to an overflowing demand of examinations from a multitude of patients the whole day, Emily forgot the thing about Alex until she got home.

Days and weeks passed she made herself even more busy that resulted her to constant dizziness and weakness. She had been feeling it for a week now but she did not want to take a day off because she will most likely to leave a lot of patients and she did not want that to happen even though there will be a subsitute doctor that will do the examinations for her patients.

"Are you okay, Emily?" Her co-worker, Gail asked as Emily sat on her swivel chair. She grabbed her vicks enhaler in the drawer of her table and smelled it while signing an okay to Gail, the latter took it seriously and believed her that she was really okay. Emily was feeling a bit dizzy hence she decided to lean her head at the head rest. Suddenly, her stomach flipped and she wanted to vomit. When Emily felt that it will burst out of her mouth she immediately went to the bathroom and spit all of it. She was feeling weak before she vomitted and it got worst after she vomitted.

"Oh my God, Emily! Are you okay?" Leo appeared suddenly, he was holding a a lunch box filled with food. He ran towards her and left the food on her table, he comforted Emily while she kept on vomitting. Ever since Emily got so busy to the point that she had no time to go outside to eat or order a food, Leo and Bessie usually go to her office and bring her a lot of foods that is good for the whole day.

"I'm.... i'm okay, don't worry.." She paused and closed the lid of the toilet and pushed the flush. Leo carried her like a bride and brought Emily to her swivel chair. "I think you have to consult a doctor already. You have been like that for a 2 weeks now. The medicine I have been recommending you seemed like it was not doing it job. You have a lot of doctor friend, they might give you a discount or make their consult available for free if you are concerned about the expenses," Leo kept on talking while he was massaging Emily's temple.

"Or I could shoulder the expenses though," Emily looked at him with a furrowed forehead, she shool her head as a sign of disapproval. "No, Leo. I am good," She paused and drank the water on her tumblr. "I was just tired. This will go away soon,"

Honestly, she was not. Emily also studied medicine, therefore she had somehow a knowledge about it. It has been 1 week since it started and she have been feeling weird already, that was why she secretly asked her friend working as a Medical Technologist at the same hospital she was working at, asked her to the favor to her to check her blood, urine, and everything for a test and kept the result confidential. Only the two of them knew.

When Leo left the hospital after he brough food, Emily went to her Medical Technologist friend. The results are expected to be available at the same day. 6 in the evening before Emily leave the hospital to go home, someone knocked at her door that made her stop from packing her things and waited someone to come in.

Her friend, Lily, that she asked a favor with, entered with a big smile on her face. Her right hand was inside the right pocket of her white coat, and her left hand was holding the white paper, it was the result. Emily extended her right hand to her, asking for the result.

"It turns out you are fine. Your health is in a good condition, there was no sickness or anything..." She paused and slowly gave the paper to Emily. "Which is a good thing... because youbare 2 weeks pregnant!"

Her friend were filled with happiness. Emily stared at the word 'Diagnosis: 2 week pregnant'. She was staring at it while her eyes were starting to fill with her tears. Her friend even hugged her, celebrating the fact that her friend, Emily, will going to have her mini Emily. But for her, she did not know what to react.
