Elowen's pov Six months passed like a blinding storm inside the hidden Lycan kingdom. Under Valerius’s personal guidance, my life transformed entirely. Every day was filled with high-stakes training. He taught me to wield my combined Moonborn light and primordial Lycan energy, turning my fragile body into a living weapon. Valerius was fiercely protective, he didn't treat me like a tool, but like a sacred deity. Whenever I mastered a new ability, his golden eyes burned with an intense, possessive pride. During those six months, news from the surface world reached our underground palace. Without my monthly blood transfers, Garrison’s strength had rapidly drained away. The legendary Alpha was collapsing. Simple skirmishes against rogue packs turned into embarrassing defeats. His wolves were losing faith, his territory was shrinking, and the Ironwood Pack was falling apart at the seams. Garrison was finally learning the truth that he had never been strong. He had merely been feeding off me. "It is time," Valerius told me one evening as we stood on the balcony overlooking our city. "The Grand Autumn Summit is tomorrow. Every Alpha, Vampire Lord, and High Witch will be present." "Including Garrison," I said, my voice smooth as ice. "Including him," Valerius agreed, stepping closer and placing a gentle, massive hand on my shoulder. "Are you ready to face your past, my Queen?" "I am not going there to face my past," I replied, looking out at the glittering city. "I am going there to collect what i'm owed." ***** When we got to the Great Hall of the Summit, it was packed with supernatural royalty. Gold chandeliers were hanging from the high ceilings, and tables groaned under the weight of rich feasts. I found Garrison sitting at the Ironwood Pack table, looking visibly exhausted and desperate. His face was thin, his hazel eyes were hollow, and his aura was pitifully weak. He was practically begging the neighboring Alphas for military alliances to save his dying pack, but they all turned their backs on him. Suddenly, the grand double doors at the entrance of the summit hall blew off their hinges. A freezing blast of arctic wind swept through the hall, instantly dousing the burning torches. The temperature plunged to sub-zero in a fraction of a second. A phalanx of massive, black-armored Lycan warriors marched into the room. Their sheer aura slammed into the crowd like a physical wall. The vampire Lords gasped, and powerful Alphas trembled. One by one, every ruler in the hall was forced straight down to their knees by the overwhelming weight of raw, ancient power. At the center of the procession King Valerius Vane stepped in. The crowd shuddered in terror, expecting the legendary tyrant to demand their surrender. But Valerius didn't take the lead. He stopped, bowed his head respectfully, and extended his massive, armored arm backward. Out of the misty shadows, a woman stepped out and followed suit. I wore a flowing gown woven from glittering moonlight and a crown carved from black diamonds. My skin radiated an untouchable, lethal light, and my new aura crushed the remaining air right out of the room. Garrison looked up from the floor, his face pale as death. His eyes widened in sheer, unadulterated horror as he stared at the woman he had thrown into the ravine. "E... Elowen?" Garrison gasped, his voice trembling violently. "It... it can't be..." I walked past the kneeling kings, my eyes locked directly onto Garrison's broken form. I didn't feel anger, I didn't feel nothing at all for the boy who had discarded me. I flashed him a cold, terrifying smile. Deep within my chest, my monstrous new wolf stretched her wings, sending her booming voice echoing directly into the mind of every single person present in the hall, "Kneel.”
