Ava's POV
"this is what I told you, if you don't obey each day will practice day for me. And I don't want to practice on you, like look I don't even know how to open a bottle" she said with frustration as her fifth attempt to open a bottle full of some purple liquid failed.
"Look, I'm never going to join any group if that's what you want me to. I'll handle myself guess I'll take first aid class before any other classes." I said as I helped her own the bottle ad give it to her while she soaks.a cotton wool in the liquid before putting it on my left cheek.
"Ouch, be gentle please" I begged in pain.
"Your reward sweety" she said before soaking another cotton and putting on the bruises across my right hand and then rib and practically to all the bruises on my body.
"Well that will avoid infections" she said as she opened a box and started covering my wounds. "And you'll have to see the nurse"
"On my grave" I said as I put my t_shirt on and stood up to check if there is any improvement which is there even though I've never shifted I'm still a wolf so my healing abilities are pretty high and kayden had pity on me all I have is just some petty injuries the cassie girl did a lot of damage though. I'm sure it will take two days since I can comb my hair at ease again.
"Hey how many classes are we allowed to take?" I asked Mia as she put the first aid kit to it's original place.
"Three per month" she said as she removed the gloves and went to the bathroom to wash her hands.
"Great, and when are we allowed to shift?" I asked eagerly hoping it'll be soon, I can't wait.
"Next full moon, probably two weeks away" she said entering the room again.
Wow! Finally I'll have my first shift with Lucas, he will be eighteen by then and we can have our first shift together as well promised each other. Oh! I can't wait for the full moon to be...
"s**t! Lucas" I thought out loud.
"Who is he?" Mia asked raising a brow at me.
"You know, the guy we were together at the entrance of the academy" I said.
"What's with him" Mia asked.
"He's not yet eighteen Mia. He's helpless and, and I just don't even know where he is or how he's doing. Oh moon goddess. I'll be checking on him first thing in the morning" I said as I went to the closet and picked up a journal which is one of the things that come in the box and write down that I need to see Lucas or I'll forget that.
"You know, that journal is connected to the wolf of the first person who writes in it. Your wolf can remind you everything in that journal even when you're miles away from it." She said.
"Well that's interesting. Is there anymore super power s**t here? I don't like surprises"
"Not one that I know" she answered as she got ready for bed.
"Hey, how long have you been here?" I asked her as I took a sit on her bed.
"A month" she said.
"And you haven't found your mate?" I asked curiosity perking in.
"Oh silly! Some just have to wait for one year or two or even more. One month is just a drop in the ocean" she said before her laughter echoed filling the whole room.
"I thought you guys find your mates really easily since all wolves are here, well almost all"
"Don't tell me you thought it might be that easy" she just laughed at me even more.
"Shut up girl" I said. she was making me feel like a funny clown.
"Alright" she said before calming down and steadying herself.
"What's funny" I asked with a puzzled look.
"The fact that you might have to spend a lot of time when you thought it was that easy" she said as if stating a fact visible to everyone.
"Whatever" said as I stood up and headed for my bed.
"Why is the room red and black" I asked when I finally put the pieces together. Black and red bed, red curtain and a black rug in the middle of the room.
"Ask mister smith" she said before turning around to make herself comfortable in bed.
"Thanks" I said as I put on some pink pajamas I found in the closet and climbing into my own bed.
Well time to sleep. Good night world.
Lucas' POV
okay I know this may sound a little crazy, but I believed Ava was somewhere searching for me. Though we were on the wrong foot these days, I knew she didn't mean what she always said. At least not now that I know that the most precious thing she couldn't leave behind was a necklace I gave her for her birthday. Guess we are all we have since my precious little thing is a bracelet she gave me too.
I just wish she get her shits together soon and thinks of where I can be rather than look for where I can be. I've been sitting at the entrance of the academy for the last thirty minutes hoping the next person to come down the stairs will be her. I want to tell her how sorry I am.
My roommate is a pain in the ass, he is a vulture and because of that he is always on cloud nine. He treats me like s**t and expects me to obey him all the time. I had to wake up before so that I could sneak out and come here to see Ava. And speaking of the devil, here he come head held high as always.
"Hi Lucas" he says sitting down next to me.
"Hi Jonas" I answered.
"Why would you be here this early in the morning"
"To see someone"
"Found your mate?"
" no" I answered surprised that it's the first thing he could think of. I'm just lucky he doesn't know I'm not eighteen yet.
"Waiting for a chick then" he said raising an eyebrow.
"More like a sister" I answered.
"Name?"
"Ava" I said focusing on the stairs.
"Ava as in the newbie" he asked as if something just grabbed his attention.
"Yes"
"Whoa, I've got an important call to make" he said before leaving for the call and coming back minutes later.
A minute later, a group of five men appears at the foot of the stairs and when they notice us they came directly to us while I seemed shocked and afraid and confused, Jonas was enjoying the show.
"I love the promotion I'll get after this" Jonas whispered straight in my ears before the group dragged me mercilessly to a less populated place.
After fifteen minutes of quite some serious beating, they left me wondering what I did but above all, how I'll hide myself from Ava. She can't see me in this condition. Never.
