Chapter 6

"For your own information, he offered going upstairs, so I didn't throw myself at him. You just don't believe that anyone could want me, that's how low you think of me? Well looks like some people really want my nobody girl ass" I said before leaving with my coat on my shoulder and shoes in both my hands. A fight with my best friend! I mean ex_best friend. "That's not an explanation Ava." He said following me all the way to the female side of the pack house. " do I owe you one?" I asked coming to a small halt. "Okay, maybe you don't. But you owe it to yourself to admit that you were wrong, or else you'll keep doing it again and again." He said trying to reason with me. " why do you even care" I asked and since he had no feasible answer he kept quiet but continued following me. "Look Lucas I've never told you this but I have to and I don't regret it, mind your own damn business and I will do exactly the same. Besides you don't have a say in this, it's my body we are talking about" I said staring directly into his eyes. "You mean yours and your mate's" "Can we please save that for another day. Hope you aren't still engrossed in that 'I might be your mate' fantasy. "All I wanted is to let you know that what you did wasn't right and..." "For the second time Lucas you, don't have a say in this"  "And you don't have a say in my life Ava. Like when to erase my memory and when to let it be" he said before leaving me standing there.  Great. I continued my journey and went straight to my room, the Alpha has told us that we don't have to do any packings we will find everything there. We were allowed to take just one thing because even the clothes we will be wearing will be burnt on the day we arrive, just for security purposes. I opened my closet and then all drawers to find something that was worth taking with me to Garza. I needed something that could make me feel safe and I didn't find one until this little necklace Lucas gave me for my fifteenth birthday. I put it on and admire it as I watched myself in a mirror admiring the view. The necklace was still beautiful and lovely and as much as I don't like Lucas these days, turns out the most valuable thing in my life is a silly necklace he gave me when we were fifteen. No when I was fifteen because he literally was still fourteen.  With the necklace around my neck and my hand was fidgeting with it. Almost twenty minutes passed by and I was getting the idea of changing and actually have some good night sleep, I don't know I will be able to do so tomorrow I heard a light knock on my room. "Hi" said the girl outside my room  "Hi" I said trying not to sound as ridiculous as I felt. This is your graduation outfit. I was just turning it in" she said handing me a box. "Thanks" I said before closing the door on her face. "Well well well let's see what we've got here" I said to my self as I cut the box open and went on with unfolding the contents. I found a white sweetheart neck dress with an adjustable shoulder tie straps, a hidden back zipper and an allover eye teaser fabric. The part I loved the most was that it was opaque, which is a huge accomplishment for a white dress and then there were these chunky nude heels and I instantly love it. I touched it remembering all the struggle, sacrifice and pain I had to pass through to finally be able to wear this. I worked for it. I earned it. With the thoughts in my head I fell into a deep dreamless sleep, and for the first time in a while I didn't have to face the eyes of the person I used to call my father. The morning marked my graduation day the day I had to leave for Garza, with Lucas who we weren't on good terms these days. I stood up quickly and did some silly stretching and sat down to just think my life over. I wish I had a phone it would have kept me busy, unfortunately we aren't allowed to have phones. They don't want us to get used to the human life. "Hey" I heard Aliyah say "Hey there. Been quiet for so long" I said. "Yeah" I had to get enough sleep and let you get some rest too. I shook my head in agreement before remembering that she can't see me. "Oh yeah" I said. "Now you better get your ass in the bathroom or we will be late"  "Who told you those words?" I asked as I made my way to the bathroom "I can't speak everything you've ever spoken silly." After an hour I went down and took a sit in the living room. Like seriously why do we have to wait for the girls always. They get ready for at least three hours or four. As soon as the graduation started that's how quick it went with four supervisors on all sides of me and Lucas. And before long we were back to the pack house where we found the Alpha on the gate upon arrival. We handed him our diplomas and took a seat in the car. After a long, tiresome and slow journey the alpha said that we had just two miles left and that we should walk from there, he will mind link the administration of Garza let them Know our case. And just like that I was stuck with the last person I wanted to be with in a two mile walk. I made sure that he knew I wasn't comfortable so that he won't attempt starting on of his super awkward conversation.  I constantly gave him the look that said that I would be anywhere else rather than here.  After some good thirty five minutes, we were standing in front of the tallest metallic gate I've ever seen. And the sign to our right read " welcome to Garza"  "Here we are" I said as if presenting a gift. "I can see that" he said mimicking my tone. Great, now let get this s**t done with.
