chapter 4 past

522 Words
When I opened my eyes, I was in a dark room. I could see a bed, a closet, and doors everywhere. But the most alluring thing was a woman with blond hair and a dress the darkest shade of purple facing away from me. The door behind me opened and the woman turned around to look. I gasped realizing it was my mother. I was at a loss for words as to why my mother was here. “My love you must leave with Kara, now. He’ll be coming for her soon. The Fais are in the back waiting to take you somewhere safe.” The male that I realized was my father had brownish/black hair and the most electrical blue eyes I’ve ever seen. “I can't leave yet, my master said he'd be here to give me something for ara as protection.” She looked like she was worried but also had this wave of confidence radiating. “We must. He’ll find you on the way, don't worry. Now quickly, my love. Please” He looked like he was struggling to hold himself. She looked at the sky, then turned around running towards my father, they both rushed out the door with me in tow. The Fais were waiting outside with my 3-year-old self in what looked like a peaceful sleep clinging to what looks like an older Damian, but since I’m this small that means this must be his father. “King Adam, since everyone is here, I entrust my wife and daughter to u to hide I must go back and fight with my men.” Father hugged my mother and kissed me on my forehead saying "goodbye my loves, be brave" and ran off through the door to the screams and shouts of people in the background. Mother started to cry but started got in the carriage that was hidden in the woods behind the castle. She got in and they took off at a very fast pace they seem to have been landing for the big lake that I remember almost drowning in. She looked at King Adam with a look of sorrow but a glint of knocking what she must do. Putting me in Adams arms she went to the edge of the lake and started whispering words that I couldn't make out, looking behind me I saw the castle in a blaze of fire and this shadow looming over the castle. Not wanting to look anymore I went back to focusing on mother seeing the lake glowing already and sparkles of dust everywhere gleaming and glowing a pure white color. She stopped whispering and came over to Adam "thank you for all you've done, but I don't think we will ever see each other again, tell Queen Zehara that I'm sorry and farewell." She started walking over to the lake with me in tow looking back at the castle and the fai people. Turning back to the water she jumped and the glowing to the water stopped……...and blackness was all I could see.
