Chapter Twelve: When the Good Turns Bad

2485 Words
“You thirsty,” Austin led her to the bar? “Yes!” She had been parched from all the dancing. “What’ll ya have, a short man with reddish brown hair asked from over the counter. Bianca had known him as Caleb. He was several years older than she was, but a nice enough guy. “I’ll have a Bud, and you,” Austin pointed to Bianca? “I’ll have a coke!” Austin looked at her with a slight scowl upon his face. “You don’t drink?” “I’m not opposed, just not tonight! We just met. I want my head to be clear,” she intelligently rationalized. “Well, okay then,” he winked at her. “A coke for the lady! Start me a tab and keep them coming,” Austin expressed to Caleb as he laid down a $50 bill. “You got it,” the bartender took the $50 and provided them with their drinks accordingly. Bianca didn’t think much of the last comment, but clearly she should have. The two found a table and drank their drink, enjoying the band that was playing. Well, Bianca sipped her drink, and Austin practically chugged his,” she noted. “I’ll be right back,” he went back for a refill. When he returned, he took a chug, and left the remains of his second Bud at the table. “Care to join me ,again,” pretty lady,” he grabbed for her hand. She smiled widely at him and followed his lead. Back on the dancefloor, Bianca and Austin continued their dance moves. They were very much enjoying themselves, the music, and the vibes. Suddenly, the once fast tempo, changed in an instant. The band now shifted to playing a slow song, and Austin was not so shy, as to extend a hand to her, and pull her closer towards his body. He held her close with his arms, pulling her back tight against his chest; what she thought felt nice initially. They had moved so quickly, she realized. Quick for her, anyway. Still, it felt good to be embraced by him, so she went with the motion of the now slower tempo dance song, which Bianca noted to be, ‘The Dance,’by Garth Brooks. Then, suddenly, out of the nowhere, as Bianca sang to the tune, she felt Austin's hand reach around her backside and grab at her bottom. He then gave it a second good squeeze! Austin was taking it to a whole new level. She hadn’t even kissed him or given him any vibes that she wanted more than their initial dance. This, Bianca did not appreciate, especially in a public place like the bar. She was a good girl and didn't let men disrespect her like that. They barely knew each other. She second guessed herself now, wondering if she had unintentionally given him the wrong impression, but she knew it wasn’t the case. She knew that she needed to correct things, and fast. She would be polite but also to the point. "Austin, we only just met. Please don't do that again," she stated nicely, breaking away from his hold. "I'm sorry! I just spent the last half hour watching your ass in those jeans on the dance floor, and I just wanted to give it its good squeeze or two," he responded to her statement with a big smirk. He then pulled her back towards his chest, leaned in closer, and planted a kiss on her neck. Bianca didn't take this as a compliment either. It was not an excuse either! He was out of line and wasn’t respecting her boundaries. "Listen, we don't know each other that well, so please respect my space and my body," she stated nicely but firmly! "Yes, Ma'am," he winked at her! After the last song, Bianca decided that she needed a little space from Austin's hands, so they went back over to the table again to have a drink. Austin put back three more beers within about the next 15 minutes and he didn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. “So, you like me,” Austin announced to Bianca. She looked at him with curiosity and wondered what could have been going on in his brain as to where he was now getting that impression. She didn’t respond but instead just sipped her coke and raised her eyebrows in sync. “Well, I like you,” Austin admitted between his beer chug. With all the alcohol hitting Austin and the incident on the dance floor, the conversation got a little awkward for Bianca. He was clearly feeling the buzz and it only furthered his courage. “Had anyone ever told you that you are fine as f$ck,” Austin pulled for Bianca’s hand across the table. Bianca looked around, ignoring his question and wondered how she had gotten here. “How could things have gone so wrong,” she wondered. Austin didn’t let her lack of responses kill his mood either. Instead he talked about was how sexy she was and how much he liked to drink and party. None of it impressed her. Actually, it was clear to Bianca that this was not the guy that she originally thought he was. She needed to figure out a way to get out of here, but how? After he had ordered another beer and a couple shots, his actions took a turn for the worst again. This time, he sat beside her instead of across from her, as he previously had. Drunken Austin began getting handsy with Bianca, rubbing her inner thigh, even though she kept telling him to stop. At one point, he even leaned over and whispered in her ear, "You are so f*****g hot, I bet you taste delicious. Let's get out of here so I can find out!" This infuriated Bianca. She could tell now that he was drunk. She abruptly pushed him away from her planted a kiss on her neck. “I said Stop, Austin!” This caused him to get angry and want to retaliate against her actions. She had bruised his ego. And she had done so in public. He was not okay with that. He had never let a woman embarrass him and he wasn’t about to start now. As Bianca got up from the table, Austin grabbed for Bianca’s arm abruptly. However, she proceeded to pull it away from him. “Where do you think you are goin’?” "I'm sorry, Austin, but this date is over," Bianca said firmly! I will find another way home," she made it known! However, when Bianca proceeded to walk away from him, he got up and grabbed her arm again and pulled her towards himself again, and this time, he squeezed her ass even tighter than before. “I don’t think so,” he gave a devious smile in Bianca’s direction. This time, Bianca slapped him square in the face for his actions! “I think so,” she scowled. "You're nothing but a tease and a w***e," Austin hollered to Bianca, as she took off! Instead of chasing after her, Austin thankfully went back to the bar, took a seat at the barstool, and ordered another round. Bianca didn't look back as she walked away and headed to the ladies' room. She just needed to get out of there! She had never been treated so poorly. She was furious and humiliated all at the same time. Bianca didn't dare leave the restroom right away; she didn't know if he would be waiting outside for her. He had way too much to drink. Still, she was glad to see his true colors right away. She couldn’t have imagined if she had gone back to his place with him. Who knows what would have happened. She had contemplated walking home, but then again, wondered if he would come find her along the way. A man like that could not be trusted. She saw the look of rage in his eyes. He was dangerous. No, walking home was out of the question. So she did the only thing that she could do in that scenario, she texted the man. "Hi. It’s Bianca. I know it's late, but could you please come and get me," Bianca typed? Brian was in bed playing on his iPad when the message came through. It was 10 pm at that point, and he knew that he wouldn't sleep until she got home anyway. He looked over at Olivia, and she was already out cold. He didn’t want to wake her. "I'll be there in 5 minutes," he wrote back to her. "Thank you," Bianca responded. About 5 minutes later, Brian pulled up in front of the local bar. He got out of his vehicle and went inside to look for Bianca. However, he didn't see her anywhere. Immediately, he got concerned and decided to text her again. "I'm here in the bar. Where are you?" "I'm in the bathroom; I'll be right out," she wrote. Brian made his way towards the restrooms as Bianca came out the door. When she saw him, she was so embarrassed. She immediately began to cry. She had never been treated that way or spoken to that way before, and the emotions hit her all at once. Sensing her vulnerability, Brian grabbed hold of her and hugged her tightly. He knew this date was a bad idea, he wanted to say..but he also knew it wasn’t the time or the place for that now. "Let's get out of here," he said to her confidently! Bianca dried her tears and let go of the man. She led the way towards the exit door as he followed behind her. She felt so safe with him around, a feeling that she had never felt before. Just before she was about to leave, a hand came from the side and grabbed hold of her arm forcefully. "Where the hell do you think you're going," Austin asked her aggressively. She could tell that he was even more c****d now than he was before. He must have continued drinking incessantly while she went into the restroom. Brian could now see why Bianca had called him. It was worse than he thought. The smell of booze just oozed from her date. He was now on guard not knowing what this guy was capable of doing. "I'm going home, Austin! I suggest that you call an Uber and do the same; you are drunk,” she stated as she turned away from him. Bianca and Brian both turned their attention again towards leaving and continued to walk further towards the door, when they heard Austin holler back to her over the loud music. "You're such a slut that you come with one guy, and leave them for another, just to keep you satisfied," Austin laughed at his own drunken rant! This instantly infuriated Brian! He wasn’t about to let anyone disrespect a woman like that, especially Bianca. So he changed course from leaving for the door and walked back towards the bar where Austin was slouched into a stool. Bianca turned around and noticed as he stopped following her. She immediately got nervous for him; she didn’t want Brian to do anything he would regret.. or worse, get hurt. Austin wasn’t worth it. Brian’s anger pooled inside of him. Then it happened. One right hook from Brian and the drunken asshole was knocked out cold to the floor. Austin didn’t even know what had hit him. The band stopped playing and the room stared in their direction. "Mr. Stanton," Bianca rushed to his side, making sure that he was okay! "I'm fine, don't worry about me," he rubbed her arm gently, reassuring her. "He, on the other hand, is not fine!" Clearly Brian had done the patrons of the bar a favor because no one seemed to go to Austin’s rescue. People immediately went back about their business as the music recommenced. Brian reached down, picked up Austin, and threw him over his shoulder, as he made his way for the door. Outside, Brian recognized the truck that had come to pick up Bianca earlier. He contemplated whether he would just throw him in the back and leave him there, but he thought better of it and tried the handle to the truck door instead, which surprisingly was unlocked. Brian then threw the drunken man inside. After he shut the door, he figured that he would do one last thing. He walked around to all four tires, took a tool out of his pocket, and let the air out. "Serves the bastard right," he stated. Brian then grabbed Bianca's hand and led her back to his Jeep, held the door open, and helped her in. Before he closed the door, he stared at her, sitting in his Jeep. She looked beautiful. She looked overwhelmed. He wanted to take away her pain. Her beauty couldn’t hide bee pain. He saw it, deep down. “I’m sorry, Bianca,” he placed his hand on her lap. “Don’t be. You saved me,” she gave him a warm smile. “I knew I had a bad feeling when you were going out earlier ,” he replied. “You did. Why?” “I don’t know. I just felt so protective over you.” Bianca’s blushed. "Is your hand okay," she reached out and caressed his hand that rested on the car door? She felt bad that he had clearly hurt himself for her. "It's fine, don't worry about it. Nothing is broken," he said, as he released her hand! He didn’t want her to worry about him. She didn’t need that added stress. "Thank you for that back there. Thank you for all of it," she added! "You don't have to thank me. I told you to call me if you needed me and you did. You did the right thing. That jerk got what he had coming to him," Brian said, cooley. Brian shut her door and got inside. There was now some tension in the air between them. Starting it up, he let his Jeep speed away from the bar. The two drove for a few minutes in complete silence as they headed back to the Stanton house. Then, like a breath of fresh air, Brian broke the ice. "Bianca, I'd like to show you something! Are you up for it," he asked? "I'm up for anything that you have to show me, Brian,” she responded, before realizing how desperate that probably sounded. She blushed a little and looked away. She couldn't help it. He did something to her insides. He was making his way to her heart each and every moment they spent together. She knew it. She was in trouble...in the best way possible!
