The Change

In front of her stood a tall redheaded male, seeming around her age if not older. Instantly she straightened her posture and presented a smile which he returned immediately. It almost had Violet swooning but she held it together for now. "Hello, my name is Bo Stonefall of Pack BloodMoon." He held his hand out, which she put her much smaller one into. "Nice to meet you, I'm Violet Featherstep of Pack ShadowMoon." Instead of just shaking hands, he brought her hand up to his lips and kissed her hand without breaking his spring green eyes from her unique white ones. Heat rose to Violets' face, nobody had ever been bold enough to approach her. Not only was the daughter of an alpha, but it always scared the rest of the pack that she was born a shifter. It was always referred to as a curse when she would catch people talking about it. She could remember one time when she was about 4, she had woken from a bad dream and went to find her father. He had a few members of the council over so she remained hidden when she heard them talking. About her. "There are no records, ancient or recent, about any werewolf having been able to shift since in the womb. It has to be a curse!" The man in the middle seemed almost angry, the one on the right muttering, "We should have erased her as soon as we found out.." She didn't wait to hear any more, rushing off back to bed. She knew her father would never let anything happen to her, but it caused her pain to know that most of the pack felt that way towards her. She had never used her shifting powers again since she had heard that conversation. She was excited to be able to shift freely again from now on since it was no longer odd for someone her age. "S-so." Violet cleared her throat as she pulled her hand back, smiling wider at Bo. "Have you had your Coming of Age already?" She tipped her head to the side as he flashed her a grin. "Yes ma'am, guess I'll be running with you tonight." He winked and she playfully rolled her eyes. "Yeah? You and everyone else who can shift." She smirked and he put his hands over his chest while making a puppy dog face before looking like he got an idea. "Then I guess you'll just have to run alone with me some other time." He didn't want to give her a chance to say no, quickly walking away from her. She was grinning from ear to ear, flustered by experiencing her first time being flirted with. Maybe things will be different from now on!
