The Yin

Seasons have come and gone since the passing of the packs' Luna and finally, the girls that had come from that tragedy were becoming of age to pick their roles in the pack and meet their wolves. But that wasn't exactly the case with Violet, she had always been able to shift, unlike anything that's been heard of. She was born shifted. She wondered if she would even be receiving a wolf of her own like everybody else when they turn 16 and if she would share the special bond she's heard about all her life. Walking over to her white vanity desk, she sat on her cushioned stool and picked up her brush, beginning to run it through her shoulder-length black feathered hair while watching herself in the mirror. 'What should I wear tonight?' She thought curiously, setting her brush down and applying a light amount of makeup as she mentally began going through her outfits before she thought of just the right one. She moved over to her closet when she had finished touching up her face, sorting through her outfits on hangers until she had found the one she was looking for. She pulled it out quickly and changed into the dress she decided on. It was a dark blue strapless dress that hugged her from the waist up, the rest flowing down to just above her knees with white speckled around the dress to give the appearance of stars on a clear night. She topped her outfit off with a matching headband that presented a strange white flower that not many people recognized. It was a Moonflower, a large trumpet shaped type of flower that furls up when the sun has gone down. Behind their house grew a whole bunch of patches here and there, leaving their yard with a light lemon fragrence. At last, she felt ready as she slipped on some plain but shiny black flats and made her way out the door and to the pack house for the celebration that came with the quickly setting sun.
