Drake’s POV
I watched as Mireya pulled Angela into her room, her door shutting close in my face. The urge to push the door open and keep watch over them was strong.
But that would be me invading her privacy. I pressed my ear against the door to hear what they were doing.
The door opened then, making me stumble on my feet. Angela let out a giggle as she left the door opened.
“You can join us” Mireya said from the bed, a tired smile on her face. I drew closer to her bed, peeking at the screen of the TV.
There was some type of animation playing on it. “You should seat down” I looked at her, noticing the way she winced in pain as she sat up.
“Don’t. Just have a seat” She whispered to me as I opened my mouth to recommend going to the healer again.
