It was because…I couldn't find a right word for it but I sure knew it wasn't because I had a crush on him or anything like that.

“Are you okay?” He asked, his hand dropping to his side.
My inner conflict must have been that visible for him to see it.
“I'm fine, great in fact” I cleared my throat, looking away from him as I winced internally.
Why did I have to reply to him that way? “Reyaaa” Alec called out as he walked up to where I sat.
“What's it, grubby hands?” I grumbled out, pasting a fake scowl on my face as he got to my front.
“Don't call me that, we are now adults. Did you fight with a bird?” He asked, fist over his mouth as he gazed at my head.
