Haven’s POV
Jasmine’s birthday plans came with a surprising twist. We found out at dinner; our R and R consisted of the cadets being allowed to leave the academy for the long weekend. A few of them got hotel rooms in a nearby village, which was code for them spending time with the working girls in the area. Others went home for the weekend, because their packs were close by. Not as close as the Masonite pack, but close enough for them to be able to leave and spend time with family and friends before being cut off at the academy again.
All our plans changed the moment we heard we could leave the academy for our R and R. Instead of doing a small get-together in our barracks for Jasmine's birthday, we are going home. Mum’s going to have a field day when she finds out we are coming home for
