Haven’s POV
After lunch, everyone made their way to the rifle range and waited near one of the two tents that were on the training grounds earlier that day. “Cadets," Master Trainer Samson called as we moved forward to listen. “This is your weapons assessment. It’s three rounds, using laser-enhanced guns, simulating real-life weapons with a real-life kickback while shooting. Starting here with rifle assembly and shooting, you will move to the closed target shooting with a handheld revolver, and lastly, you will go to moving targets where you can use both your hand-held weapon and rifle, depending on your preference. We will be descending in alphabetical order this time. Cadet Young, you will be going first.”
Like earlier, we waited for our turn, but this time, I didn’t have to wait long.
