All in the name of jelousy 2

The next morning, Erica stood up stretched her hands, while yawning and started to recall what happened the night before, immediately she woke her brother and ran towards the closet door and opened it. when she came out of the closet she tried to open the door of the room but to no avail, after trying and trying she sat down and started to think of what happened last night.

Not long she heard a melodious voice coming outside the door and immediately she recognized the voice owner, it was aunt Clara, her mom best friend.

"Erica, Mark, are you in there?" she asked, immediately Erica stood up and raised her voice by saying she is inside, after that she heard more voices coming towards her mother's room and the door was opened.

When the door was opened she saw her aunt Clara wiping her tears and she bent down to be at the same height as Erica and her brother, and started to tell them not to be sad anymore.

Erica was confused and so was her brother, she was scared after recalling what her mom did last night, after calming down she asked her "aunt what going on where is my mummy and daddy, what happened? I am scared" after saying that she was only answered with sympathy from everyone's eye. she couldn't take it anymore and ran out of the room and she started to run down the stairs, on the process she slipped and fell.

While rolling down the stairs she hit her head on a nearby pillar closer to the stairs and passed out. Immediatly she was rushed to the hospital by Clara and other people inside the house.

"So Celia is really not a fool like you said?" Clara asked as she turned to face a very skinny woman who has a very ordinary look even with all the make up she did, she was still looking ordinary.

Helen, the skinny woman smiled with her expression saying, I told u so. Clara clenched her fist, anger mixed with jelousy filled her eye, she looked down at the little girl on the hospital bed sleeping peacefully and she continued her conversation with the woman sitting across her.

"And here I am thinking that I have done something wrong. so all along she has always being cautious against me" Clara said which gritted teeth. Helen stare into her eye and said "since you know she has found out about your betrayal what are you going to do? Clara was scared and she started to shake all over, after some time, Helen smiled at her telling her that the only option she has is to take her down when she is still weak, which Clara find to be the best option.

Unknowingly to them, while they where conversing the little girl on the bed has regained her consciousness and have heard all they've been saying. Erica was scared so she pretended that she was still unconscious.

Suddenly a little boy ran into the ward where Erica is being treated. He stopped when he saw another's person present in the room. He turned to Clara with questioning gaze and was met with a beautiful smile from her, immediately she walked closer to him and hold his is little hand.

She take him to his sister's side and made him sit closer to her. When Erica noticed her brother is the room she opened her eyes and was about to sit up when Clara immediately stood up to stop her from sitting, she told her not to sit for now that her body is still weak for such movement, and Erica stop trying to move and she obediently lay on the bed.

After moment of silence she asked Clara with her voice a little bit shaken about her mom whereabouts. Clara told her not to feel sad again cause she can't change anything and it only going to make her sick the more, and she finally told her that her parents where attacked by armed robbers but unfortunately are dad died but her mom is still unconscious and probably she might end up being in comma.

Erica and her little brother Mark where shaken to the core about the death of their dad and their mothers condition. Although Mark was still a naive little boy but he was shocked because he knew it isn't a good news since everyone where avoiding to tell him what has happened to his parents. Erica on the other side knows for sure that her dad his really gone and her mother is still alive since Clara didn't use the same word "dead" like she has used on her dad.

Erica was slightly relieved but felt bitter about her parent condition. She looked at her little brother, and what she saw made her surprised, he was crying! Clara also was surprised but she immediately carried Mark on her lap and she started to console him.

Not long after the woman skinny woman sitting in the room who has been totally forgotten by the trio cleared her voice and she stood up and left.

Clara was taken aback, after contemplating for sometime she stood up and turn to Erica and said she has something to do now and will be back in a few minutes, Erica nodded at her, after Clara patted Mark on is head she left.

The room was back to silent, after sometime, Erica got up from her bed, she tried to stand up on her own without holding anything for support but she loosed her balance and almost fell down but luckily Mark held her with is little hands and she stabbled her self, after that, she came out of the room with her brother and turned to the direction where Clara left, while walking she realized that there was nobody around the place

She started to get on alert to see anything suspicious, not long after she saw a nurse walking in a suspicious manner not far away from where she and her brother were.

Immediatly she followed the nurse secretly not getting the nurse alerted of their presence, not long the nurse walked into a ward and closed the door.

Erica walked towards the door in an unhorried manner, she placed her ear closer to the door and she was shocked because the door wasn't closed at all it was opened so she saw what was going on in the room.

She saw Clara standing closer to the window and the skinny woman, Helen who was in her ward earlier was holding a knife closer to the suspicious nurse telling her to inject the patient or she'll die, the nurse was scared and she comply, when she was about to inject the patient, the patient regained consciousness, due to the pressure she has been put through she fainted and the injecting needle fell on the patient.

Clara and Helen was shocked because the patient on the bed was nobody but Celia, Erica's mother. Celia was a little bit confused but when she saw the syringe on her chest she immediately understand what was going on, she looked at Clara deeply which made her frightened.

" So this was your plan all along, you made sure u had an affair with William my husband and killed him and also me so as to take his wealth as yours. Have you no conscience, what have I ever done to you to make you want to distroy my life and that of by family? you had no house, I gave you one, you had no family, I treated you like a family. But why do you want to end my life so badly? tell me why" Celia yelled like she was about to run mad, but Helen took action to cover Celia's mouth so as not to allow her voice alert any one.

Helen turned towards Clara who was shocked to the core and shouted at her "do it now or never", like a demon set free from the pit of hell rushed towards Celia on the bed and inject her while talking to her and laughing like a manic "you think I am satisfied, do you think I will let you be happy when am not, do you think you disserved all the praises from everyone while I am being neglected. Yes you gave me your things but I will never be satisfied, I have worked hard to be happy but u took it away from me , I have always loved William but he didn't like me one bit, he loved you and that enough reason for me to hate you. you took away my only source of happiness but I have found a way to get it back" like a gentle woman,Clara touched her stomach and rubbed it gently and stared at Celia as she said "I can't have him but I can have his child ".

Celia stared at her weakly and said with her last strength saying "you will face retribution for what you have done," after saying that she fell into a deep sleep.

Clara was to staring at Celia when Helen clap sounded in her ear like bomb she turned to Helen with questioning gaze "what was that for"? she asked. " so u can go to the lengths of killing your best friend all in the name of jelousy.

Clara was stunned but she immediately reacted and shouted fiercely at Helen telling her she isn't jelousy. instead of answering her Helen wanted to walk out of the room when she met Erica and Mark, looking at her with hatred written all over their faces, Clara also realized what was going on and threatened them that if they say any words about what happened their life will be in danger and not only theirs but also their mother, cause she only injected her with drugs that will make her stay in vegetative state.

Not long Clara took them away from the hospital to their house.

From then on Erica started to realized what a child without parents are going through.

But she made sure she does all she can to make her brother happy , but she was too naive cause Clara will never make them test the feeling of happiness again.

Due to the hardship, Erica a girl at age eleven, was made to see the bitter truth about how life works. Being the brilliant girl she is, she made sets of rules from which she used to survive the hardship in life.
