Chapter 12 Nathan got past Carl with a casual wave, and neither Nathan nor Fury said a word as they drove for the warehouse. Twice Nathan spotted cops. Both times Nathan was miraculously slowing down from his breakneck speed to turn or to merge. Regardless if they were doing the right thing or not, the Universe was never this kind, and Nathan’s nerves began to clang like an off-tune piano plunking its way through a battle hymn.
