Eps 3- The break up

“Not tonight Kevin. I’m tired.” Lucas try to push Kevin’s hand on his chest. Kevin got up from his lending on Lucas.

“You never push me away. What’s gotten into you?” Kevin voice a bit loud.

“‘I’m tired. I got things to do first thing in the morning tomorrow.” Lucas take out his phone from his left pocket jeans. Kevin grab Lucas phone and he scroll to check either Lucas have someone else or not. Lucas just let Kevin do what he want with his phone. After 5 minutes Kevin give back his phone.

“Satisfy?” Asked Lucas. Kevin snort.

“Are you having someone else besides me Lucas? I mean you seems to hid something from me. You havent seen me in past 9 days. You always busy when I ask you out. You often ignore my text not to mention to pick up my call. Are you cheating on me?” Ask Kevin serious. Lucas laugh.

“I am not cheating on you. I just got things to d...”

“What things?!” Kevin start to yell.

“Dont yell at me!” Lucas got up and pick his key on coffee table. He rush to the main door. Kevin grab his hand and kiss Lucas on his mouth. Lucas felt disgust he push Kevin on his chest. Kevin was shock.

“You push me away?!” Ask Kevin in a high note.

“We are done! I’m sick with psycho dude like you!” Lucas fight back in the same high note.

“You calling me dude? You think you can get away from me? After you mess with me? After all I gave to you? You want to left me? Dont you dare!” Kevin starts to grab Lucas’s hand but Lucas dodge. When Kevin starts to act crazy he pull Kevin against the wall.

“We are done! Dont you dare mess with me again Kevin Chong! If you still dare to do so dont you think I wouldnt dare to destroy you.” Lucas whispered to Kevin in a mean way. Kevin’s body start to shaking after hear Lucas treaten him. Lucas’s body is much tougher than Kevin’s made Kevin cant fight him back. It only cause a struggle and Kevin will lose. Lucas get off his hand on Kevin and left Kevin in shocked. Kevin known Lucas from high school. He fall in love with Lucas because Lucas never been mean to anyone. Lucas always seem so soft and gentlemen. Lucas would never raise his voice with him. He knew Lucas has change. And Lucas changed for someone!

“I’m surprise you’re home early than usual.” Lucas stop by stairs and he saw his mother and Dream was sitting in front of the fish pond nearby garden.

“Amma what are you doing here? Dream you shouldnt be out here late in the dark night.” He said to them as he walk towards. Even his voice is calm but his face denies it. Dream look at him in her deepest eyes. Lucas dodge his eyes from meet with Dream’s eyes. Dream frown her eyebrows. She sense something wasnt right with Lucas. Not only Dream even Lucas’s mother felt the same.

“Are you okay? Come. Let me walk you to the door.” Lucas said while give his hand to Dream.

“You should get some rest Dream. You are healing. You need more rest.” Said Madame Leona. Dream nod and put her hand on Lucas’s hand.

“Goodnight amma. I love you. Sweet dream!” Lucas said while kiss his mother forehead before walk away with Dream. Madame Leona laughed. She saw Lucas have a feeling for Dream. Fool son. He thinks he good enough hiding his emotion huh? I’m your mother. I know my son. Said Madame Leona in her heart. On her face she’s smiling. Oh God how I hope Lucas will be back straight on his path as a man and left all the vile invert relationship. She pray in her heart.

“Inara Sophea binti Ilyas.”

“Do you have a picture of you daughter?” Asked the police officer who wrote the report.

“Here. I havent been able to keep in touch with her for over a week. Usually if she cant get home on weekends she will call us to inform. I try to call her but her phone didnt turn on. I call her fiance he also said he cannot reach her. Please officer. She is my only daughter.” Beg the late 50 years old man.

“We will try our best mister. We will keep in touch with you if we receive any news.” Said the police officer.

“It must have something to be done with you! What trouble did you put my sister into?!” Hit Izzat on Razif’s face.

“I didnt do anything to her. I swear.” Razif got back up from the ground when Izzat punch him.

“Enough Izzat. Even if you hit him till death it wont being Nara home. We wait for police to find her. Hopefully she’s in a good hand. If my daughter was harm you will know your place and your family place.” Ilyas said to Razif.

“Get lost! What are you waiting for?!” Yell Izzat. Razif run as fast as he can from his fiance house. Damn Inara! Where are you!

“Dont!” I scream as soon as I woke up from a nightmare. I dream I was getting taken by a random guy. I massage my head lightly due to some headache. Then my door was rushly open from outside.

“Whats wrong?” Asked Lucas panic.

“I was having a nightmare.” I said. My eyes are teary. Lucas rush to sit by my bed.

“Hey calm down. Dont worry. You are safe here. What did you dreamt about?” Ask Lucas gentle while petting my hair.

“I was getting taken by a guy. That guy pulls my hand. He treated me aggresive. I’m scared with nightmare like that Lucas.” I started to crying.

“Hey hey dont cry. I got you. Shh shh.” Lucas pull me towards his chest. His hand still petting my hair.

“I’m sorry I awake you. I’m just afraid. The dream seems so real.” I say after I calmed down.

“Dont be sorry. Are you feeling lot better now?” Lucas wipe my leftover tears. He looks me in the eyes. I nod. I look him back in his eyes. We both feel like we are flying in our imagination. His face is getting close to mine. I can hear his breathing. Our mouth were too closed. A lightning strike shock us. Lucas turn his face to the sliding door. He get up and close the curtain. He walks to my bed.

“You should sleep back Dream. Its late already.” Lucas said.

“Wait!” I hold his hand. His body turn towards me.

“Whats wrong?” He sit by my bed again.

“I’m terrified.” I look him right in the eyes. He turn his face to other way.

“You close your eyes. I will be here until you fall asleep.” He said. Still not looking at me. I feel kind of hurt. Its not like I try to seduce him. But I do really terrify to sleep back. I let go of his hand.

“Its okay. I can sleep by myself. You should go sleep too.” I pulled blanket back till my chest. I laid down backing him. I hear the door was closed. My eyes start to watery. I can sense my tears are coming out. The lightning strike again. I feel scared. I started crying in fear. My body was shivering.

“Hey its okay. I’m here.” Lucas said while hugging me. The lightning strike even harder. My cry getting louder. Lucas hugs me more tightly.

“Father? Why you not sleep yet?” Ask Izzat looking at his father looking outside the window.

“It’s continuos lightning. You should close the window.” Izzat come near to his father and close the window.

“I worry about Inara.” His father said.

“I wouldnt dare imagine anything bad happen to her. I just cant.” He said again.

“Father, as her brother I worry about her also. But I know my sister is fighter.” Izzat said.

“You remember when your mother was gone she didnt even cry in front of other people? Even we as a man cant hold back our tears but she still calm and attain other people who came to pay last respect for your mother. She is so strong after mother left us.” His father said in crying. Who’s father doesnt worry sick of his missing daughter? No fathers dont.

“Do you remember when she was little when a stormy lightning night strike she came to your room and she awakes you to accompany her till dawn?” Izzat laugh.

“Yes father. I still remember it. If I was asleep she will climb behind me. When we both drawn to ground she will cry and said I did that to her. You and mother will scold me.” Izzat add. They both laugh. After the queen of his heart died due to car accident Inara is the only diamond left. Izzat acted as a protector while Inara is the gem that cheers his life. When Inara said she wants to move out he did forbid but he lose with Inara persuasion. The last time he saw Inara was on Izzat’s wife birthday. Inara never awkward entertain kids and even old people. She never has issues with her sister in law. Inara was a polite and innocent girl. His wife dies when Inara was 16 and Izzat was 19. Now Inara is 23 and Izzat 26 but the bond his family has is unbreakable.

I wake up and I saw Lucas was asleep while holding my hand. I get my hand off slowly so not to wake him. I get up and I saw Lucas was sitting on the floor next to my bed asleep. I felt bad. I go into bathroom and I wash up my body. I shampoo my hair and I rinsed it. After finish shower I put on cloth that I bring into bathroom since Lucas was in my room. I got out of the bathroom and Lucas still asleep. Because pity of his sleeping position I try to wake him up as gentle as I can.

“Lucas.” I whispered to his ears. He didnt response. I whispered again but a little bit louder than before. He opened his eyes and he smile.

“Did you sleep tight last night Dream?” He asked with his wet hoarseness. I was stunted. He look so sexy with his voice right now. I then nod and smile. He then kissed me on my cheek.

“Good.” He said.

“Mm you should sleep on the bed. Sorry I cause trouble to you. I’m sure the floor was cold and its uncomfortable sleep while sitting next to the bed.” I say. He nod his head. I can hear his bone neck cracking when he move his head in circle. When he saw I was looking him he suddenly wink his eye on me. He got up and stretch his back and he walks out of my room.

“You are never been a trouble for me Dream!” He said while closing my door room. My heart was flatter. I hold my heart as it beating hard. I try to calm myself. Easy there. Lucas has a look and a body that every women dying for. You shouldnt be putting hopes. Besides he maybe only helping me because he have sympathy on me. Wait. He only have sympathy one me. I frowned. That s**t hurt me right in the middle of my heart. You are nobody! He helps you. You shouldnt have feeling like this!

“Good morning Mr. Lim.” Greet Patricia, Lucas assistance.

“Good morning.” Lucas reply with smile. Patricia follow Lucas to his office room. In her hand they are three files need to be sign by Lucas. She put the files on Lucas table. And she open her tabs to brief Lucas his schedule for today.

“Cancel meeting with Chong and Son Hardware.” He said when he heard Patricia mentioned lunch meeting with Kevin Chong. His heart just dont feel like to face with Kevin. He was the man Lucas in love with but sometimes Kevin can be a real psycho. Acting like he cant live without Kevin. Ah its just too much for him to deal with. Maybe its just about time. Lucas never been in love before. Kevin was the only person he love but until yesterday he just wasnt sure either he still have love for Kevin or not. He feels like his heart has changed. To a woman. He smiled.

“Is it okay Mr Lim?” Asked Patricia.

“Huh? Ah yes. Thanks.”
