Chapter 3: Happy Sun Motel...with unhappy people

*Two weeks, seven hours, twenty-five minutes, and six seconds ago* After a few heated moments Havic explained to Silva what had happened and why they were now there. Silva stood across from Havic leaning against the counter sipping a cup of tea. Reaper and Kashi both sat on the couch cleaning their weapons, every so often they’d jump in and correct Havic. “So, you really think Takeda found something that could kill us all?” No one answered because no one truly knew for sure. The rumor was that Takeda had found a mystical item during a raid on a warehouse and with it planned to kill all bandits. “I know someone who’d know,” Havic replied as he fiddled with his dagger. Silva glanced at him as if she were muzing the idea of asking him. However she looked back to the other two, who were just finishing their weapons.  “Then we’ll speak about it later; you three look like you could use some rest.” Silva replied then stood. “I’ll be back, I have a call to make.” With that Silva stepped outside only to have Havic follow her outside. “I don’t remember inviting you Ethan,” Silva growled angrily. Havic shut the door behind him and hesitantly took a step towards Silva. In a matter of seconds Silva had her right hand around Havic’s throat, baring her fangs. “I don’t want to hear your lies, you said you…” Silva’s voice faltered for a moment.  Havic’s eyes dropped and whispered. “I’m sorry Sil, you weren’t supposed to know…” Silva slammed Havic into the wall next to the door, slightly cracking it. “I’m sorry for hurting you, just know I wasn’t lying when I said I’ll always love you.” Silva pulled her hand away and stormed away from Havic. Havic prided himself free from the wall and sighed.  Silva decided to take a small walk to try and clear up her thoughts and calm down after seeing Havic in so long. “Why is it NOW he decides to come back? Let alone bringing more trouble this time? It’s always ‘I need to lay low’, ‘I promise I’ll come back after this job’, ‘I love you so much’ but when will he ACTUALLY mean it? When will he stop caring more about the missions then for me?!” Silva slammed her fist against the wall, accidentally cracking and chipping a piece off it. It wasn’t enough for her to convince her step father to allow Havic to be with her. It was an insult when his older brother convinced him to leave me and help him kill the one who changed her instead of standing up for himself. “When will he change for me? “Hey,'' Silva turned and found a group of three bounty hunters. “My name is Micheal Adams, this is Brock Maxwell and Theron. We’re looking for these people that were said to be around these parts; you know of them?” Micheal asked as he showed her ‘WANTED’ posters. Each one had information on Kashi, Reaper, and Havic with their own price if they are captured or killed. Kashi Marlikalve WANTED: 1st Degree Murder, Robbery, Attempted Assassination of an Governed Official, REWARD: $10,000,000  Havic Pearce WANTED: Manslaughter, 1st to 3rd degree and Felony Murder, Aiding and Abetting, Theft, Arson, Destruction of Property, Trespassing, Public Indecency, Profanity, Owning a Unlicensed Firearm, Evasion of Police, Disorderly Conduct, s****l Harassment, Conspiracy, Solicitation, and Attempted Assassination of a Governed Official REWARD: $12,500,000 ‘Reaper’ WANTED: Assassination, Kidnapping, Attempted Assassination of an Governed Official, and First Degree Homicide REWARD: $15,000,000 Micheal looked weird; childish to say but a bounty hunter usually doesn’t smile that brightly. He had bright blonde hair that was well kept, his bright blue eyes matched the sky, and he had a nice tan. He was 5’9” and had the body of a model but Silva was getting a strange feeling from him. He was dressed in navy blue tactical pants, around his waist was a black military belt, on his feet were matching combat boots. Over his torso was white v-neck t-shirt, and a navy blue army jacket. Silva could see the chain of what looked like dog tags but it could have also been a necklace. Slung across his back was an old ak47 but sadly she couldn’t see what all he had on it. Silva looked from the wanted posters to the group then back. “No, I can’t say that I have.” She replied as Michael turned to one of his friends. Theron was wearing  several different types of animal pelts on his clothing as a sort of cape cloak. He was about 6’5”, tan skin, had brown shaggy hair that was unkempt, dull/bored brown eyes, and built like a bodybuilder. He wore camo pants but no shoes, slung across his back was a quiver full of arrows, and a crossbow. Silva sniffed and wrinkled her nose in disgust, it was easy to see he was a werewolf; but his scent confirmed it. The crossbow was equipped with a 28-strand cable, forge tac apex stock, xrk rangemaster vz scope, and a xrk talon grip under its barrel. Brock was just as massive as Theron the only difference was his skin was a light gray; almost ashy looking. His eyes were a blazing red orange that shone with a sick cruelness in them. His most distinguishing features were his ears, and his teeth. It was natural for orcas but for Silva it was unsettling. He was dressed in camo pants as well but wore a large kevlar vest that held multiple shotgun shells. Slung across his left shoulder was a r9-0 shotgun. It was equipped with muzzle brakes on the ends of its barrels, both barrels were forged tac gemini, and a merc foregrip under them. For a pump it was a fss r9-0 bulldog pump, equipped on the rear grip was granulated grip tape, and had 437 gr hardcast slugs. “Theron?” Brock asked him as ‘Theron’ focused closely at Silva for a few moments, as if he was studying her to see if she was telling the truth. He sniffed at the air as if the simple action would tell him what he needed to know.  “She’s lying. She knows who and where they are.” Silva narrowed her eyes and glared. These two idiots most likely had allies close by. She needed to take them both out before they became a serious problem. “Alright. I’ll make this quick and simple so we don’t end up taking the latter option.” Michael said before grabbing Silva by the throat and pinning her right against the wall, drawing a knife from his belt, and holding it right near her cheek. “Where are they? If you don’t tell me in the next 3 seconds, I would be more than happy to take you to the afterlife. One, two, thr...” Before Michael could finish Silva took a breath then fazed through his hand, drew her rapier, and sliced his hand off. She drew her pistol and was ready for a fight. “Your first mistake was thinking I’d rat anyone out,” Silva snarled. Brock quickly grabbed his shotgun and began to fire at Silva. However she was quicker than his shooting and shot him three times in the throat. Brock staggered back for a moment, but luckily the orce’s thick skin protected him from the shots. “So, you're going to be a problem then.” Silva noted as she turned her head to the other existing problem before her. Just as she did this she quickly dodged a crossbow bolt that was fired at her from Theron. The werewolf growled in frustration and loaded a new bolt into his crossbow. “Damn she’s fast,” Brock noted as he tried to take aim at Silva. She noticed this and did the best thing possible. Rushed Michael who was attempting to use a wall to stand up; grabbed his rifle then stabbed through his chest. “Michael!” Brock yelled as he took aim and fired at Silva, only to have her fazed through Michael again, causing a case of “friendly fire”. Brock’s eyes widened as he realized what he had done but before he could react Silva was driving her balde through his throat and into a small pillar behind him. Silva then pointed Michael’s ak-47 at Brock’s head and emptied the entire clip, leaving only Theron. She spun around ready for a fight but found him restrained by black shadowy chains of darkness. Silva looked up to the balcony and found Reaper yawning and giving a slight stretch. “Thanks for the help,” Silva said as she yanked her sword free from Brock’s throat. This caused his corpse to crumple to the ground in a bloody mess. “I’ll take it from here.” She then used her speed and strength to quickly decapitate the subdued werewolf. Silva quickly texted Lincoln about the mess she made and asked if he could take care of it. After a short wait and a yes, Silva flicked the blood off her rapier, seathed it, and holstered her pistol. Afterwards she grabbed the wanted posters and made her way back up the stairs then asked, “The others didn’t want to help?”  “Kashi is out cold and Havic insisted on not interfering for some reason. Either way I could smell that angel from all the way up here.” Reaper answered. “What’s the damage?” Silva showed him the wanted posters then mentioned for them to step inside. Once inside Havic noticed the posters in Reaper's hand and moved towards the two. “So, what’s the situation this time?” Havic asked as he and Reaper joined her on either side. “Because of the fact you three tried to kill Takeda, he’s decided to order a bounty on all three of your heads. He ordered them to bring you back alive to use you as examples for his new found power.” Silva explained as she looked down at the corpses. “Who knew angel’s blood had such a shitty taste.” Silva declared as she attempted to spit the taste from her mouth. “How much?” Havic asked, curious to hear how much the reward was if someone was able to catch one of them. Silva smirked for a moment as she knew he wasn’t going to be happy with his bounty. “$10,000,000 for Kashi, $12,500,000 for Havic, and $15,000,00 for you.” Silva replied as she grabbed the posters from Reaper and handed them to Havic. Havic took the posers then began to read through them, his expression quickly changed after a quick glance. “Wait, what?! Why does he get the bigger bounty; while I’m the man in the middle?” Havic whined childishly. Reaper blinked for a moment as he tried to process what he just heard.  “Does that really matter now?” Reaper asked him, annoyed at his usual attitude. Havic heaved a sigh, “No, not this time. I’ll only shut up because we need to move the plot forward anyway.” This earned him confused looks from both Silva and Reaper both. “What?” Both Silva and Reaper asked simultaneously. They looked to Havic for an answer but he seemed to have already forgotten what he said.   “Hm?” Havic replied cluelessly. “So…” Reaper was saying, pushing whatever Havic said off the side, “What now?” He asked Silva yawning once again. “No thanks to the gunfire here, we’re going to need to skip town. I was hoping we’d stay but that plan is ruined. I swear, you guys really f****d up this time. You three just moved up to Takeda’s top ten most wanted list and now we’ll have just about every bounty hunter and law enforcement coming after us.” Silva said to them, while Reaper got a distant look in his eye. It wasn’t the first time he’d face off against both sides, he also knew it wouldn’t be the last time.  “Well, if we’re going to skip town, let’s rest up while we can for the night. That way we’ll be as ready as we’ll ever be when we head out.” Reaper suggested. “I agree. I was having a nice little dream of my own but then Silva got into trouble and blah blah blah, let’s just go to sleep.” Havic agreed as the tiredness started to get to him as well. Reaper joined Kashi in the other room, which left Silva and Havic with the pull out couch. After they moved the small table and got the couch situated Havic grabbed a pillow and went to toss it on the floor. “Alright time to kill my back.” He was about to jump and lay down when Silva spoke up. “There is room on the bed you know,” Silva pointed out as she sat down and took off her boots. Havic looked over as she patted the space next to her. “It’s not like you haven’t slept next to me before.” Silva reminded him.  “True but will I be able to wake up, or do I have to worry about getting hurt?” Havic asked as he sat down across from her. Silva smirked at the question as she removed her weapons, but kept them in reach just in case. The two locked eyes for a moment and Silva allowed for Havic to get closer. “Can we talk now?” Havic asked as he removed his weapons. Silva nodded, “I’ll listen but no lies.” Havic nodded then gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. This caused Silva to blush lightly as she got comfortable on the bed.  “Eric wasn’t killing a normal vamp Silva, I-I know he was close to you when you were younger but he was half farel. He chose to be turned so he could overthrow Tepes and his brothers. I know you don’t want to believe me but when Eric brought me to the hive there…” Silva held her hand up and shook her head.  Silva’s eyes clouded over as Havic recalled a lost childhood friend of Silva’s. “I-I don’t want to know about his last state. I would rather remember the old him before…” Silva sighed. “You should have brought Draven or Collin to help. They could have vouched for you and everything wouldn’t have been so bad.” “I know but Eric wouldn’t have it and I had no experience dealing with feral species. It was either ask him for help or attempt to face an entire hive half assed.” Silva grabbed Havic’s hand and gently squeezed it. The two locked eyes and for a moment everything melted away. Nothing else mattered to them, not Takeda, Casic, not anything. The two slowly got closer and before they knew it they were kissing, until they heard a crunching sound. The two froze and quickly turned to find Casic leaning against the wall at the foot of the bed eating a small bag of chips. The two began to blush madly while glaring daggers at the goddess. “Don’t stop on my account,” Casic teased. “The show was just getting good.” Silva grabbed her gun and pointed it at Casic; who didn’t seem to mind. “He’s quite the kisser though, am I right?” Silva growled as she c****d the hammer back and was about to shoot. “Save the bullets sweetly, I’ll be on my way shortly.”  “You should leave now,” Silva growled. Casic casually ate another chip and sat down at the foot of the bed. “What do you want?” Silva demanded angrily. Casic smiled seductively as she winked at the two of them.  “Curious how the two of you would be...together.” Silva blushed darkly as she fired a shot off at Casic. Havic blushed himself but he couldn’t say he never thought the same thing. “Well, until next time my lovely little…” Silva shot at Casic again, hitting her in the forehead. This just caused the goddess to laugh and disappear leaving nothing but an empty bag of chips on the floor. “I can’t wait for Eric to kick her ass,” Havic grumbled. “Eric’s going to what?” Silva demanded. Havic waved off the question as he laid down and got comfortable. “Ethan what did you mean?” Silva asked again. Havic yawned and pulled her close. “Ethan...you're lucky I love you.” Silva sighed in defeat, sat her weapon down, and got comfortable. The two fell asleep not knowing the fight they’d soon face.
