*Two weeks, two days, four hours, 56 minutes, and 14 seconds ago*
Kashi watched as Havic and a cloaked figure were fighting back and forth. Havic fired multiple rounds only to have them get blocked by a darkness shield. He looked like he was a full grown adult who had a light tan and an unsettling eye color. His iris was a blood red, while his pupils were black as the dark. He was 5’11”, he had an average body build but was well toned. He was dressed in black cargo pants that were worn over his black military boots. Around his waist was a black cloth belt. He wore a white long-sleeved shirt underneath a short-sleeved black shirt while wearing a large and slightly tattered cloak and black gloves. His hair was messy but more tamed and well kept unlike Havic’s hair.
“Alright I’m either screwed or just going to need to switch things up.” With that Havic holstered his revolver and drew his dagger with his left hand. The was eight inches of 1090 carbon steel mixed with stygian iron. The handle was also curved but was covered by a gray rubber grip that had a small hook on it’s rear bolster. Above the front bolster was an emerald that could be seen on both sides of the weapon.
“So he isn’t just some i***t afterwards.” Kashi smirked as she watched Havic crouch slightly and take a stance she’d never seen before. “Alright let's see who’s useful or who needs to die.” Kashi grabbed her sniper rifle and fired at the space in between the two. Kashi’s weapon of choice was an arctic warfare magnum/police chambered in .338; lapua magnum. Under it’s barrel was a standard issue bipod, on it’s rear grip was stippled grip tape, with a singuard amrs evader, and a variable zoom scope. Sheathed on her left hip was a 19th century katana. It looked eligante, beautiful, and very deadly whenever Kashi wielded it. The handle wrap was an emerald green, but the cap, and hand guard were shiny gold. The blade was shiny, razor sharp, and made of damascus. After firing her weapon, Kashi dropped down and approached the two cautiously
“So I have to kill two of you.” The one in the cloak stated. Kashi stepped back and loaded another bullet in her weapon. The way he said it was more of a statement instead of a question; Kashi eyed both seeing who was the biggest threat.
“Shut up,” Kashi looked at the i***t in green and blinked surprised. Not only did he tell their enemy to shut up but he holstered and sheathed his revolver and dagger. “We’re obviously after the same target, and as much as I want to kill you both to get the reward,” The i***t took a deep breath then smiled. “I’d rather face him with help.”
“And why is that?” Kashi asked, uneasily. Two things made her uneasy about this man, one the way he smiled and two he unarmed himself and was speaking to them casually. It’s been a long time since anyone made Kashi feel like this and that person is no longer alive.
“I’ve known you for a few minutes and I already want to kill you.” The cloaked figure growled. The i***t grinned, shrugged, and smiled nonchalantly. “Who are you and why did you ruin my shot?” Kashi narrowed her eyes at the cloaked figure, then revealed that he was talking to the i***t in green.
“Havic Pierce Genopia’s best menceries,” Havic replied as he drew one of his revolvers, spun it, then holsterted it. “Please no autographs.” Kashi scoffed and shook her head, the cloak figured growled; which made Havic laugh. “So who are you two? Or should I just give you nicknames based on your winning personalities?”
“Kashi Marlikalve, rogue of the Ventus clan. Give me a nickname and I’ll take your tongue in exchange.” Havic opened his mouth ready to speak but chose otherwise. “And you are?” Kashi looked at the cloaked figure to see him reloading his sniper. It was a Remington M24 Sniper Weapon System. The stock was entirely colored black like the night with a muzzle break at the end of the barrel to have his shots become more accurate. On the top was an adjustable sight for distance that was made specifically to target and eliminate anything nearly a half mile out. At the front was a closed bipod attachment that allowed Reaper to set down the sniper for more stable shots at his targets.
“Reaper,” He replied. The way he said it was in a low but annoyed manner. “We should get out of the open before Takeda sends officers to investigate what happened.” As if lady luck was listening; the sound of sirens began to approach the three. Kashi loaded her weapon and jumped into the nearest tree and looked towards the park's parking lot. Reaper knelt and quickly fired off two rounds, killing the driver of a squad car, and blowing the tire out to another.
“Not bad,” Havic grinned as he drew his revolver and took aim. A police SUV had stopped and it’s passengers exited ready to fight. Havic crossed his arms at the four officers and began to fire; for anyone normal the shot would have been impossible. For Havic Pierce it was as simple as breathing air through his lungs. “This is too easy.” Havic began to laugh and fire more rounds at his enemies. Kashi scoffed and took aim with her rifle. After taking a quick breath she fired an entire clip and killed two officers in a police cruiser, and five others in an suv. “Hey, I think were…” Before Havic could finish his sentence he was hit with three traquilizor darts. “Well...this is overkill.” Havic smiled stupidly then, face planted on the ground.
“Eyes up they…” Kashi was hit with two darts and fell from the tree she was in. She looked toward Reaper, only to see him hit the ground as well. Kashi fought for a moment trying to muster any strength to get back up. However her target revealed himself to fire yet another dart at her, causing her to go unconscious. What felt like a matter of seconds, Kashi was reawakened by the splash of ice cold water through her arrestors. She gasped for breath then looked around herself only seeing her new cell walls and a guard walking away with an empty bucket.
She was surrounded by steel walls, the only light that came in was from a barred window. Connected to the wall was your standard poor excuse of a bed, a thin cloth that barrel passed for a tablecloth, and a small pillow that was flatter than paper. She reached up to rub the back of her head and immediately felt the collar around her neck. “Where in the gods am I?”
“Takeda’s Personal prison,” Reaper answered from out of nowhere. “I don’t know how long we were out but I was just woken up.” By the tone of his voice Kashi assumed he had been woken up the same way. “I was here last time but it looks like he upgraded his disabilers.”
“What happened the last time you were here?” Before Reaper could answer another familiar voice called out to the two. Havic was warning them about their new visitor who was making his way down the wall. Both Reaper and Kashi went to their cell doors to see Takeda himself walking down the hall with a remote in his hand. This earned him a shock from his collar, causing him to laugh, and their new guest to sneer in disgust.
“You're exactly why I want to purge all bandits of Genopia.” Takeda growled. “All your kind does is kill innocent people and wreak havoc.” This caused Havic to go into a laughing fit, Kashi began to chuckle to herself, and Reaper gave a slight smirk. Takeda scoffed and approached Reaper’s cell only to have him flip him off and curse at him. Takeda shocked him as well, moved on to Kashi’s cell door, and glared. “I hope you're smarter than your friends, because…” Kashi punched Takeda knocking him to the ground and the control out of his hand.
“Go f**k yourself you arrogent asshole, We kill people that come after us. None of them were ever innocent; if you want to know who should be purged from Genopia its…” Kashi began to scream in pain as Takeda shocked her. He was now on one knee holding the remote in his left hand, while his right was gripped on his bleeding nose. “I’ll make you pay for that b***h!” Takeda snarled, his voice dripping with venom.
Meanwhile in Havic’s cell, he was currently trying to free himself from his handcuffs. He had used the bed to dislocate his shoulder. He was in the middle of putting his cuffs in front of him when he heard laughing coming from behind him. Havic flew to his feet and spun around to find an inhumanly beautiful woman leaning against the wall. She was 5’5”, pale skin that looked almost porcelain, a seductive figure that every guy would fall for, and every girl would envy. She looked like she was twenty-one, her hair was snowy white that fell down to the tops of her shoulders, and her eyes were normal except for white iris. That wasn’t the only thing that was wrong with her, she was wearing white patient pants that you’d get from an asylum, and a straight jacket. She had fashioned it into an open jacket, under it was a gray sports bra.
“Well, it seems you’ve gotten yourself into yet another prison.” The woman tisked as she smiled insanely. “You're like a child,” She stepped closer and snapped her fingers causing Havic’s cuffs to open and his collar to fall off. “When I named you I granted you many abilities. Your brother has mastered many skills yet…”
Havic stood and popped his neck while grinning crazily. “Don’t bring him up! He screwed up my relationship with Sil and now…” Casic snapped her fingers causing Havic to fall to his knees. He grinded his teeth and snarled, “Then let me spread chaos in your honor!” Casic tilted her head to one side as she thought about it but immediately blasted Havic out of his cell.
“Guess you have a silver tongue after all. Keep flirting like that and I may just make you mine.” With that Casic disappeared leaving, Havic free, and two dead guards. Havic sat up and smiled as he found what he was laying on.
“What do we have here,” Havic smiled cruelly as he picked up an mp5, and two extra clips. “Time to start some chaos.” Havic turned to his right and began to shoot at the officers that were rushing towards his cell. One of them was able to shot Havic in his chest a couple only to have him laugh crazily. “Man this day just keeps getting better!” Takeda saw this and did the two smartest things possible, exited the room, and put the building into lock down.
“Hey psycho, enjoy yourself less and get us out of here!” Reaper yelled, getting Havic attention. “The keys should be on one of the guards. Grab it so…” Havic shot the locks for Reaper’s and Kashi’s cells. “So you're not hopeless after all.”
“No, so please hold still, I can’t shoot that off your neck if you move too much.” Reaper lunged for the gun while Kashi went for cover. However Havic was quickier and surprisingly accurate enough to shoot the collars off both his new friends. “There all…”
Reaper grabbed the submachine gun and slammed the stock into Havic’s temple. “I swear by the gods, pull something like that again and I’ll kill you!” Reaper growled. Havic stepped back as he nervously rubbed his head. “Either way we should get out of here before things get worse.” Reaper suggested as he unlocked his cuffs.
“We better hurry, Takeda’s men will be on their way,” Kashi reminded them as she unlocked her cuffs. “We better find the storage room and get our weapons back, if we don’t we’re as good as dead.” Reaper nodded in agreement while Havic smiled deviously. Kashi noticed this then asked, “You have a plan don’t you?”
“Well…you’ll just have to wait and see.” With that Havic took off to the opposite side of the room and leaving Reaper and Kashi dumbfounded.
“Let’s go, I know where the way to the storage building.” Reaper replied. Kashi tilted her head confused but followed Reaper. The two of them picked up weapons from the guards Havic killed and left the cell room. As they were leaving the other prisoners called out to them, yelling to be released. Kashi hesitated when they reached the door, she knew that each would be left to a bitter fate. “We have to keep going,” Reaper reminded her. “If we stop to help them then we might as well walk back to our own cells.” Kashi nodded then followed Reaper out of the cell block.
After running into two groups of officers the two finally made it to the storage building. Kashi was in awe once she stepped into the building. It was the size of a gymnasium full of weapons, vehicles, and other confiscated items. “I see why you called it the storage building.” Kashi said as she inspected her weapons for trackers. After finding nothing she quickly sheathed her katana and loaded her sniper rifle. “I wonder what that lunatic is even doing?” Reaper shrugged as he finished inspecting his own weapons.
“Testing, testing,” Havic’s voice was now blaing over the speakers and the two froze in disbelief. “Hello prisoners of Takeda! I know life sucks right now because you're behind bars but that's all going to change! I, Havic Pierce now grants you freedom!” The speakers clicked off along with the alarms and defense system. This meant that getting away would be easier for the three.
“He’s not as idiotic as I thought,” Reaper admited as he moved towards the cabneit that housed keys to all the vehciles. Kashi joined him but turned around as the door burst open, revealing Havic and three dead guards.
“I see you two found your weapons.” Havic smiled then made his way around the room in search of his weapons. After finding them he quickly dismantled and reassembled both revolvers in seven seconds. “Alright now it’s time for our legendary escape!” Havic declared as he ran to the cabinets and snatched the keys to his car. “I knew those bastards would take my baby!” Kashi looked to Reaper confused, he just shrugged and got into the car. After the two were in the car Havic opened the door, hopped in his car, and slammed on the gas.
“Havic speed up,” Kashi looked behind them and found three suv’s peeling out from around the building. She and Reaper both set up their rifle and began to take shots at the drivers. “Havic did you not hear what I said?” Kashi growled as she loaded another clip into her sniper.
“Relax I have the perfect thing for these guys,” Havic took his hands off the wheel and began to rummage around under the passenger seat. Kashi’s eyes went wide as she quickly grabbed the steering wheel and did her best to try not to crash. “Ahha, found it!” Havic declared as he pulled out a small bundle of IEDs. Reaper’s face went pale as he saw what was in his hands then realized that they were also being shot at by cops.
“Psycho you better get rid of those before we get blown sky high!” Havic grinned at this and did one of the dumbest things Reaper and Kashi have ever seen anyone do. He stood, used the trunk to kick off the car, and landed on the top of the first cruiser. “Kashi speed up, they’re gaining on us!”
“I don’t know how to drive one of these things!” Reaper’s eyes went wide in disbelief. He knew elves were very tribalistic but he didn’t think they didn’t have cars. “Is this the gas?” Kashi stepped on the brake while sharply turning the car. For a moment Reaper thought he was going to die in this car.
“The pedal on the right is the gas,” Reaper yelled as he dodged the bullets that were being shot at him. “Step on it and don’t turn so sharp!” Kashi did as instructed and made her way towards the exit. Reaper looked back into the scope of his rifle just in time to see Havic jumping back into the back of the car. “What were you even doing,”Reaper asked as Havic began to look under the passenger seat again.
“Oh, you know just leaving our friends nice little gifts on top of their cars.” Havic pulled his hand out from under the seat and revealed a remote. “Kashi gun it, Reaper you may wanna cover your ears!” Without waiting Havic clicked a button and watched as the cruisers blew up. Reaper started in awe as each cruiser exploded killing its occupants. “Nice driving Kashi, you must be a natural.” Havic smiled. Kashi’s eyes were glued on the road ahead, her foot was still on the gas with no sign of letting up. Her face was focused but held small hints of fear, almost as if she were afraid to slow down whatsoever. Havic tapped her shoulder then asked, “Mind if I drive, you should grab your sniper before it flies out of the back.” Kashi quickly moved from the driver seat to the back.
Havic just simply blinked confused and continued to drive to their new destination. Kashi sat in the back next to Reaper checking her weapon and every so often looking over her shoulder. After twenty minutes of silence Kashi finally asked, “Where are you taking us?” Havic gripped the steering wheel for a moment as he hesitated on answering.
“Let’s just say it’s a personal safe house. I have four in Genopia but seeing as that’s not an option from us I’m taking us to one that’s on the border of Okane and Genopia.” Havic explained as he took an exit out of the city. It was here that the environment began to change, from cityscape to a massive forest that surrounded the city state. Ten miles inward was a small town that didn’t have much, it was used more as a rest stop so many just left it as such. Havic pulled into a small motel that looked bare and emptier than a movie theater in 2020. Havic closed the top then the three exited the vehicle. “Alright I’ll be back in three minutes. Let me grab the keys.” Reaper nodded awhile Kashi scanned the surrounding area.
Havic entered the main office and found a middle aged african american male sitting behind the desk. His hair was shaved, he had a small bit of a stubble, and was pretty fit for his age. He was weary khaki pants, black work shoes, and a yellow t-shirt that read, “Happy Sun Motel.” His feet were propped up on the desk in front of him as he stared at his phone. “How can I help you today?” The man asked without looking up.
“Lincoln it’s me,” Havic replied while giving a cocky smile. This didn’t seem to change Lincoln’s attitude. He kept scrolling through his phone then signaled for Havic to continue. “Anyway, I was wondering if you could give me the keys to…”
“Here you are,” Lincoln reached under his desk and pulled out a key car and handed it to Havic. “I’ll make sure to clean up the mess later.” Lincoln chuckled as Havic took the card. Havic gulped nervously as he left the office building. Kashi and Reaper then followed him to the third floor then down to the left, stopping at room A27. Havic took a deep breath, swiped the card then stepped inside the sweet. To his left was a small couch that could turn into a pullout couch. Straight in front of him was a small kitchen and a refrigerator. To his right was another door that led to another room that had two beds, a tv, and another door that contained the bathroom.
Havic sighed relieved as he entered the room that had the two beds, for a moment he thought he’d have to deal with an old acquaintance. “Whew for a minute I thought…” Havic froze as he saw who was now hanging up the phone that contacted the office. Sitting on one of the beds was Silva Quebec just older and glaring daggers at Havic. “Shit..” Was all Havic could say before Silva was standing in front of him and slapping him twice.
Kashi did her best not to laugh too loudly while Reaper smirked at the sight he was now seeing. Silva hadn’t changed much except that her hair was cut shorter and braided down her left shoulder. “Say it and you’ll lose your tongue.” Silva growled angrily. “I don’t care why you're here but do you really think I’ll let you try and swoon me?”
*Present*
“I think I’d rather have Silva tell the rest of her part.” Kashi said as she sat back stretched. “It feels wrong to tell someone else’s story.” Night nodded as she signaled for Morgan to open the door. Kashi exited the room and called out to SIlva. After a brief three minutes Silva entered the room and sat down across from Night.
Morgan clicked the speaker button and began to read Silva’s file, “Silva Quebec eighteen years old, former soldier of Nova. She fought in the war to free Kilos from Pyro Deris the tyrant and the Order of the Cross who wanted to purge the world of all nonhumans.”
Night put in a new tape then looked at her new visitor. “Before we start may I ask you a question?” Silva nodded. “You could have had an easy life, your family is one of many wealthy families to ever live. Yet you chose to fight against those you see as evil.”
“You make it sound just but at the end of the day I kill people. I’m not a hero just someone who kills those I deem a threat to the world and others.” Silva looked down at her hands and smiled faintly. “I’m a monster that kills other monsters that have lost control. The day I lose control I can’t help but wonder how I’ll die, who will kill me, and what’ll be the last thing I see?” Night tilted her head to one side and thought about Silva’s words.
“Very poetic Ms. Quebec, I believe we’re ready to start whenever you are.”
