Dead-rus 28

He was glad to receive warm heartedly by his colleagues on the airport. Captain Dragon was cheered for returning safely back to the head quarter. It was a victory for them to accomplish the five months long mission without any complications. He was dog-tired deprived of enough sleep, hooked with various in the field. Life as an army gets filled with time bound labor, yet earning tons of satisfaction. Captain Dragon pushed himself to his best with that phrase.  

The team members asked him for the night out, as a small deceit of celebrations. They went for rounds of bottom ups adding its counts to outnumber empty bottles. They celebrate only at maximum of twice a year or once but it would be for days and nights till every one of them gets into the nerves of liquor. They walked out by next sun down with heavy heads back to the work.

While Captain Dragon was sharing about the smart intelligence, swiftness and other technologies at Japan, he was interrupted by someone calling by his name. He turned back and found one of the attendant of Administrator. Captain Dragon was ordered to report by his office immediately. On the other hand, he was stunned to be summoned by the administrator. He was moreover terrified taken aback to his operation. He saw other team mates drooped with wounded face.

All other mission would be from the board of director conference. The red zone mission would be also controlled by them and Captain Dragon was anxious on nearing to the office. He pressed the door bell and there came an instant order to enter. There was two well-built guard fully armed on reaching to second door. They were tall with giant physique and growled to stop there.

They came forward was thoroughly checked by one, when other eyed him non-stop. He felt squeezed between two huge man feeling something familiar. Captain Dragon closed his eyes and recollected his encounters but was startled upon sudden jerk from the shoulder to get in. Captain Dragon didn’t mind their nature and forwarded in an open space courtyard, followed by other two. There stands a line of khaki dress armed personnel eyeing to every four directions.

The weird two man switched him to another two, finally leading into a well maintain spacious cozy room. The one side of his room has full view of Thimphu city through glassed wall. He was there looking down to the realistic picture of the place. He smiled to them and ordered other two to wait outside. The grey-haired man who recruited him was administrator. Lobzang was shivered with the test he went through to reach there upon sighting that man after years.

The man offered him a seat with streaming tea. Captain Dragon was just paying attention to him seeing him wearing a same grin but looks little bit older. He looked sideways and told him, “Have you been watching WBS lately…Probably time wasn’t there as you had just return back” Captain Dragon didn’t knew a clue about the talk. However, the man seem to be managing to come up with something. Captain Dragon was just awestruck with the friendly nature of the Administrator.

After few minutes, Administrator directed him onto the large screen hung over to left side of Captain Dragon. He clicked the remote sensor and took through every activities happening in and out of B-PIT. Nearly, he was covering up the accomplishments and lapses of the B-PIT from the day it came to the functions. Even with expertise and intelligence team, Captain Dragon knew that B-PIT was having hard time to put up with other agencies across the globe.

 Administrator, anonymous with name for Captain Dragon was passionately taking him with every plans and thoughts of B-PIT in coming future. After winding up the conference after three hours, Captain Dragon was cautioned to leave everything between them within that four wall. It was something disturbing for Captain Dragon to think about all those talks and warning at the last.

Finally, Captain Dragon asked for the reason behind about his doing. The man was silent for seconds and took a long sigh appearing worn out. Rather than outlaying his reason behind, he stood up and told Captain Dragon to join him for the lunch. The air was filled with curiosity and confusions to Lobzang but went after him to another door from his office. He was amazed to grasp a mini gazebo in an open air, ready with lunch set.

 During that time, they exchange their thoughts of likes and dislikes with their job, risks and threats and relationships and professions. On coming up with lower hand about relationship, the man eyed Captain Dragon and told him to never think of it. He asked further about that and man came up with his tale. He was dumped by his wife and two children for never finding the time for them. He was just looking into the plate appearing broken to talk about that.

Captain Dragon was sorry to hear that and was speechless to sight him, trying not to sob in front. Everything went calm without any talks for minutes. Captain Dragon didn’t knew anything and was remorseful to sight him making up his face. Contrary to that, he smiled and stood up drawing or writing something into the open air. After that, he closed his eye for seconds. Captain Dragon was astonished to sight, without image of it.

“It’s okay Captain, I was just thinking over” he gave a sad but satisfied gaze. “I just made a wish and hope they are hearing it” Captain Dragon was just taken through the heavy emotions sighting the life he lives. In addition, he was just delighted to serve his nation and missing them has become his second option. As a conclusion, he told Captain Dragon that after becoming an agent and personnel of B-PIT, relationship has to be always eliminated from the mind.

Captain Dragon was taken aback to his promise with his girlfriend and inquired him about acceptance from both the sides with nature of job. He grinned a little and nodded, asserting him in negative opinion. He shared his life with wife and children for fifteen years before accepting the present role. Conversely ten years together after joining B-PIT. He was nearly running seventy five this year. In a nut shell, he could not convince her with his job even with twenty five years together.

Captain Dragon was drowned into his past walk sickening his heart. It was more complicated to comprehend, the more he looks into it. He was jolted upon called by the administrator to go back with their work. Though he do not have any idea about it, Captain Dragon followed him back to the office. “Are you okay, Captain?” he begun “Our lifeline is never assured and we have to understand her hurdles too. So never get mixed with those two sorts”

He neither nodded nor answered but was just thinking about hours in his office, lunch with him, thoughts about relationships and finally again back to the work without any definite image. The man told him about the parts of other country having ragged by the deadly pandemic. He screened almost half of the globe combating the dead-rus 28 with causalities adding its number every second. Captain Dragon didn’t knew that while he was busy with the operation at Japan.

Dead-rus 28 has been reoccurred in 2028. It was the same virus which got viral around the globe in the year 2019. It was known as Covid-19 in past years. The virus has been deadly causing billions of casualties across the world. After nearly a year, the medical specialists and team from Washington DC, USA was able to come up with an injection. The millions of people were saved with the injection, thereafter. The economic crises have regenerated its course after getting rid with the epidemic.

Dead-rus 28 came to the existence in the year 2028 befalling the characteristics of covid-19. Every features were same like covid-19 but viable than the past one. The medicine of the past doesn’t have any impact on dead-rus 28. It was only four months old and had already caused billions of causalities on half part of the globe. The man briefed Captain Dragon about the virus and its impact across the globe. He as an administrator of B-PIT was worried that within short span of time, the dead-rus 28 will also hamper Bhutanese citizen.

The administrator wishes to send Captain Dragon to next part of the globe to collect the sample of virus. However, he desires to keep everything as a private solo mission without any suspicious from other personnel including his team Beast. The flight and every needs during the operation was to be arranged by the administrator without anyone’s knowledge. He wants to risk collecting the sample and testing here at B-PIT by his own.

Captain Dragon wasn’t sure with the mission for he would not have any backup from his team. However, it would be risky if the talk goes viral with people and social media. The administrator was virology by profession and told him that he does not want to expose to others until he success in coming up with the medications. His work would be under cover and wishes to seek help from Captain Dragon. The mission has to be without anybody’s notice.

The main task for him was to come back with blood sample, hair, skin, serum and spinal fluid from one of the infected but alive person and another from death one. Their conference was stretching for till next dawn breaks. Captain Dragon accepted the demanding task after giving thousands of thoughts. He wishes to risk his life if he could save millions of lives. The man was elated and promised to get ready with his every needs in a week.

They also came to a conclusion to offend other personnel as Captain Dragon has been relieved for vacation by an administrator till he summon back to the B-PIT. With everything in place, Captain Dragon went back to his team trying to act normal. However, Sam asked him for his thoughtful nature that day. He gathered his team and told them about vacation from Administrator till further notice. He asked Sam, chief of intelligence team to take out him permanently from the server and system for time being.

He wasn’t ready to do but Captain Dragon pledge him for he wants to make time for his girlfriend. Captain Dragon told them about his plan to make an entire vacation to him and his girlfriend. Sam ordered Jatu and Kinzang for necessary follow up. He does not want his team to sense anything awkward and cheered himself for vacation and others joined him, too. After an hour of informal talk with them, Captain Dragon went to home to get prepared with the plan.

He connected to the administrator and went through plans, needs and threats ahead during the operation. The time period of the mission goes on until they succeed in collecting a desired sample. After through video conference between them for weeks, Captain Dragon was ready to depart Georgia for the operation. He wasn’t ready to share about his departure to anyone other than the administrator and himself.

The solo private mission was one of the most dangerous with life on line and no one will know about his destination, aims and works at the operation site. Even with all those risk, Captain Dragon gave a chance to execute the mission on his own. Before departing from Bhutan, he wrote letter to every friends, mom and his girlfriend if he never returns from there. He went through every snapshots in his phone from his schools days, mom, and friends and recollected the beauty of the nation as whole, on that particular night. He cannot take anything of his own until he come back and cherish them.
