"Wow, that's—" CC began.
"s*x on the floor," said Johnny, coming to stand next to her, his eyes remaining fixated on the duchess.
I glared at Johnny until he looked away.
"Does Your Highness know The Lovers' Dance?" Johnny asked, turning to CC.
CC looked at me. I was getting increasingly unnerved, a fact Johnny either didn't acknowledge or didn't know.
"I'm a Condor, of course I do," she replied innocently.
"If I may be so bold, would Your Highness care to dance?" Johnny asked, bowing gracefully as he offered her his hand.
I forced my way in between Johnny and CC. "I don't like people taking what's mine." I growled, getting into Johnny's face, making him back up. "Come," I said to CC, taking her hand. "I don't need to be watching this."
