I hadn’t been thinking about Ethan. Aria needed me to be strong for her. I couldn’t let her down. But the day had been long and I was tired. Still, I wouldn’t complain. CC was with me, and it looked like she meant to stay the night. More than ever, I needed her to stay, even if she spent all night interrogating me about what had happened today. I grinned at her, as the cuffs she’d slapped on me a good hour ago cut off my circulation. I felt like I could breathe again.
CC squatted in front of my bed, touching the cuffs.
“Does it hurt?” she asked sadistically.
