The Unpleasant SurpriseJonah, Terrence, and Reena got Bast to summon Jonathan as soon as they returned to the estate. They usually discussed things in the Glade, but because of the prying eyes and ears of Sanctum, it was better to meet their mentor in his study. As an added bonus, Bast monitored the door, along with Anakaris and Laura. Jonah loved the heralds.
Jonathan listened to all of the information with rapt attention. When they finished, he simply nodded, not giving away whether or not any of it was surprising to him.
“And this came from Felix?” he asked.
