Chapter Thirteen: Losing Everything
Riding her car, Eloise and Emily reached the nearest beach from Emily's condo, which is a two-hour drive away. Thankfully, it was a weekday, so there weren't many people, and they were able to find a spot near the shore. The spot was perfect for watching the sunset, which is only an hour away.
Emily placed everything she bought on the table. As she was working earlier, the thought of taking her cousin crossed her mind. She wanted to help her as much as she could, even if it was only a simple thing like this.
"You brought too much," Eloise commented with a laugh, seeing snacks, cake, fruits, salads, and pastries.
"Oh, you need to eat to get your strength back, El. If you are craving anything, just tell me, and I'll buy it for you."
