The ALPHA'S LUNA

Chapter three

Mere looking around the room that was filled with mentally deranged women who were bound in chains, I knew that this wasn't the life that I wanted.

I just sat at the extreme end of that hall, near the gate. I saw really disgusting things. They looked so starved and malnourished.

They rushed the vomit of anybody, like it was actual food.

"Oh moon goddess, please come to my rescue!" I cried out in horror.

I feared having to end up like these women inside here with me.

Just then, I heard a loud voice yelling at someone, and it turned out to be Alpha Roman. I pushed my ears closer to the door, but bid to get a clear hearing and understanding of what was going on outside.

"Where did you say that you dropped her?" He barked at her.

"There... At the human lab..." She stuttered. Her voice was embedded with so much fear.

The next thing that followed was a deafening slap. There was no doubt that the lady was the victim.

"Now, go and open up that stinking place." He yelled at her, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Obviously, the moon goddess had answered me. Now, I was more worried about what was going to happen afterwards.

Maybe, Alpha Roman wasn't even bad, like I felt he was.

Immediately, she hurriedly rushed to the gate, and opened it up.

Why did they call this place a human lab? What was going on in this place?

I had a lot of questions that needed answers.

Just at that moment, the gate opened up and I could feel the hand of the maiden trying to drag me out.

“What are you waiting for? Pull her out of there immediately!” Ralph instructed the maiden.

Other ladies who were inside there, tried to force their way out, but the Alpha got angry immediately.

It happened so fast. He pulled out his dagger, and slit the throat of a woman who was at the verge of getting past the door.

I just froze in shock as I watched a head drop before me. Other ladies scurried away from the door, returning into the lab.

The maiden was probably too weak, so she was unable to help me out all by herself.

Alpha Roman had to stretch his hand and pull me out immediately. I was so weak, so helping myself out was a great work for me to start with.

“I hate lousy people” He grabbed the maiden's neck immediately.

“I am sorry sir” She tried to apologize even while being strangled. But the Alpha paid a deaf ear to her pleas.

I watched as the poor maiden girl struggled to breath and fight for her life.

Oh! poor girl. I wished I could help you.

"No... No... No Alpha... Please..." She stammered in exhaustion. Obviously, she was going to pass at any coming second from that time.

Instead of Alpha Roman to show mercy, he smiled in mischief. Like he was enjoying what he was doing.

"No mercy in hell!" He replied before bringing out his knife and slitting her throat in my presence.

I stared in both disbelief and uncertainty.

"You're a cruel monster." I spat at him, and he smiled at me in reply. He immediately grabbed my head with so much force.

"If you don't take time, you'd be the next person. You see what I did to that lowlife over there, what I did to her would be little, compared to what I'd do to you." He smirked, and my eyes popped out in surprise.

I knew that this man was very cruel, and he would rather die, than not live up to his savage threats.

Indeed, I was a mate to a cruel Alpha.

Just at that moment, the alpha walked away, leaving me to my own fate.

What was I going to do?

I was just so weak that I couldn't walk on my own. Just at that moment, two maidens appeared from nowhere, and they helped me get up to my feet before taking me to a room that I supposed would be mine.

I was just very weak at first to make any close observation about the room. Just at the moment that I made to lay on the bed, the voice of the maiden hindered me.

"The alpha asked that you take a bath first." She said, and I turned back to look at her.

"He did?" I asked her again to be sure of what I heard.

"Yes, he did. He also instructed that I massage and treat your wounds, so that you won't get infected." She went further, and I just didn't say any other word, other than obeying and affirming everything that she told me.

I entered the bathroom, and I was greeted with an amazing sight and fragrance. Well, I couldn't see everything properly because of my poor eyesight, so the maiden helped me to the bathtub.

Each massage or touch from her, sent an electrifying feeling of pain to my brain. My whole body was covered with injuries.

"Sorry, ma'am. You'd be alright." She would say that occasionally, and I would just nod in affirmation.

I wasn't myself at that very moment.

"So, why are you a maid here?" I finally found my voice to ask her, and she froze in shock. She hadn't expected the question.

She went mute for a while, before saying anything else. I knew that she was trying to play safe, so I respected it.

After all, no one would want to be destroyed by the alpha in a very cruel manner.

"I won't actually say that I was forced, but now I can't leave this place again, so I am stuck here. I am an orphan..." She replied to me.

I looked at her deep in the eyes. I could see fear. She was indeed scared of saying another word to me.

"We would be fine. I think I can relate to your story, too. So, what brought you to this place?" I asked her.

"Sorry, but I don't think that I can talk about it, ma'am." She replied.

I could smell the discomfort and fear in her voice.

"You don't have to be scared about anything. Just know that you can trust me." I said to her,

"I just hope so. My story is a very long and sad one. The thing is, my parents..." She was still speaking, when the door was forcefully opened.
