Mina made sure she and Avery were deep inside the Frelinghuysen Arboretum before gently placing him down and shifting back to her female form. She only had the Ceridome wraps to cover her now that previous transformation had shredded her clothes. “Damn, I loved that shirt.” Avery was clearly trying to wrap his head around everything, so Mina attempted to calm him. “I guess an explanation is in order here?” she managed in a clumsy tone.
“That was the coolest f*****g thing I have ever seen.” Avery blurted out loudly.
“Shhhhhh,” Mina put her finger to her lips and quickly silenced him.
“Oh my God,” he desperately tried to whisper. “You really are a f*****g superhero.”
“No I am not, but we need to get our s**t together in a hurry and get the f**k out of here.”
