Emerald's POV:
"Hey there" I heard someone say as I felt a hand holding my arm. I opened my blur eyes to see someone standing close to me. I couldn't see the face as it was pretty dark.
"Emerald" I jumped in my seat when I heard him whisper but soon, I realized it was Alan standing there.
"Oh god you scared me"
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to" he said moving to the side to turn on the lamp beside the bed.
"Where have you been all this while. Its almost 3 a.m. " I said looking at the clock wondering what took him so long.
"I went to visit one of my relative after work. Lost track of them there."
"I didn't know you got relatives other than Elena."
