I turned around tracing Lydia's gaze after she had a look that screamed, 'yikes'. I rolled my eyes meeting the eyes of the man who had picked her up from the company that night and the man she also went to the tech event with.
Were they dating? I doubted they were together. However, what I still wasn't clear about was Lydia's feelings for me. Not that I believed she could ever have any feelings for me after all I had put her through. I just wanted to know if the fight I was willing to wage to make her fall for me would at least be worthwhile, if there was something worth pursuing.
I couldn't read her at all but it did make me happy seeing her smile after receiving my gifts for her. She was truly a gorgeous woman.
