Anna woke up and quietly left his side but was surprised when she saw she woke up with a bad back pain. She tried massage her back but to no avail, Emmanuel who had woke since she raised her head from his chest looked at her with much interest.
Let me do that” he said startling her.
“Thank you”she said laying back on the bed.
“You’re now 100 percent mine” he said.
“How do you mean” she asked.
“Well….I’m your first man and I’ll be the last” he said.
“I hope so” she replied.
“It’s a promise,my girl” he said then kissed her forehead.
“I’m hungry” she said holding her stomach .
“I’ll cook for you” he said standing up.
“Let’s cook together” she said also getting up from the bed.
“I want you to regain your strength” he replied.
“ then I’ll watch you cook” she said.
She stood beside him watching him wash the rice and grill the fish.
“Let’s see what wonders chef emmanuel will make today” she said chuckling.
“It’s a taste to savor” he said grinning.
He turned to her then carried her up on the cabinet spreading her legs and squatting down.
“We’re in the kitchen” she said holding the shirt she was wearing down.
“I want to take the new plates you bought when you went to Japan, you kept it down here” he said laughing at her dirty thoughts.
“Ohhh….but you didn’t say” she said shrugging.
“Do you want another round now?” He asked her and winked at her.
“Please……I’m hungry” she said blushing.
“I’ll be going out this weekend but I’ll take you out before then” he said.
“That’s cool but which party is it”she asked curiously.
“Just some company owners and shareholders party” he replied.
“Okay,but can’t you take me along?” She asked.
“I’ll see if I can” he said .
“Tell me if it will be comfortable” she replied.
“Yeah sure” he said.
“But why are you interested in going with me” he asked.
“I just want to” she said.
“But you were never interested” he said.
“I know” she said.
“And here is our food” he said stretching his hand towards her to carry one of the plates.
“Smells good” she said taking her nose close to the plates .
“It was cooked by me” he said with pride.
“I hope it’s not the type of food that just smells good but doesn’t taste good” she said teasing him.
“Come on this isn’t your first time eating my food and you know I’m a great cook” he said frustrated by her tease.
“Just kidding” she laughed heartily
Emmanuel wondered why she was suddenly interested in going to a party with him and there was no way he could miss party his father was hosting.
“What about I hire to cook for me” she teased.
“I would love to serve you for the rest of my life”.
“I don’t have that much” she said.
“I don’t cost much” he replied.
“Okay then” she said laughing
“Yes my queen”he said bowing mockingly.
“My pleasure,my dear servant” she said teasing him more.
“Thanks…..your highness” he said and they both laughed hard.
“Be careful with your mouth,we’re eating something spicy” she warned.
“Okay,no more jokes” he said raising up his hands.
“ when is our date?” She asked.
“This weekend,Maybe Friday” he said.
“Okay”she said.
“How long did you tell your boss you won’t be able to come to work” he asked.
“I only told him I have some things to attend to but I’ll be working from home” she replied.
“ that’s cool” he said.
“ but it’s rare for him to just agree to me without asking what exactly I’ll be doing” she said.
He smiled at her knowing what he had done.
“ He might just be in a good mood” he replied
“Yah, maybe that’s it” she said.
“Let’s finish up our food then we continue from where we stopped” he said.
“No way, it’s tiring” she said.
“It’s not, you’re lazy” he said and she threw her spoon at him, he laughed at her childish behavior.
“You fornicator” she said sternly.
“You’re now also one” he said amidst laughter.
“Shut up” she said.
“Okay I surrender” he said raising up his hands.
“What about we go to the park?” She asked
“Today?” He said.
“Yeah,we could just spend an hour or so” she said
“Why today” he asked
“I miss going to the park and since I may not go to work through this week so I want to take this opportunity” she replied.
“Okay then” he said.
They went to the park riding the Ferris wheel and
taking pictures, they were enjoying their day out when a call came in from Anna’s phone.
“ hello sir”she said into the phone.
“ you’ll be going to Zanzibar on Saturday and you’ll be there for some weeks or months,it depends on how the company there is doing” the CEO’s assistant said to her.
“Months?but why me?” She asked him.
“You’re a director and you have many specialties so the boss chose you” the CEO’s assistant explained.
She took a deep breath and said “Okay”.
“Who was that?” Emmanuel asked her.
“The CEO’s P.A” she replied rolling her eyes.
“ what was about moths” he inquired.
“ That man wants me to go to the branch in Zanzibar to help the lazy brats there” she said
“ That’s nice, he’ll be increasing your salary too” he said teasing her.
“Only while I’m there” she replied him.
“I know,but I’ll miss you tho” he said hugging her.
“You’re too clingy” she said hugging him back.
Emmanuel was sad about her leaving but he was happy he could have time to clear things with Claudia without her knowing about it.
“Let’s go home” he said breaking the hug.
They held hands to the car and her opened the passenger seat beside the driver’s seat for her.
“Do we cook or we get take outs” he asked her.
“Let’s cook” she replied “you know I won’t be seeing you for God only knows how many months” she added sadly
“Don’t worry baby and when you’re less busy make sure you always call me” he said putting his hand on her hand.
“Yes I will” she replied

“ hello” Emmanuel said into the phone
“ how are you doing,baby” anna replied trying to make her phone sit still while she unpacked her box
“I miss you already” he replied pouting
“ come on, I just left” she replied him
“It’s hours already” he said childishly
“Well….. I can’t fly back there, and I’m here already” she said
“You just be a good girl okay and always call me” he said to her
“ how did you know that?,aren’t you a baby?” She teased
“ of course I’m your baby” he replied
“ you’re so grown” she said back at him.
“Do you really need to unpack tonight? He asked her.
“ okay,I’ll go to sleep first then I’ll show you what it looks like when it’s morning”.
“Alright Empress Brianna” he replied
“What have you had today?” She asked
“Just some fried potatoes with eggs” he replied
“Keep enjoying” she teased
“There’s no big deal in what I ate,babe” he said
“Just joking” she replied laughing
“Catch you later,my dad’s calling me” he said hanging up the call
“Good day,dad” he said into the phone
“Good day,son,how are you” his father,Mr Dennis replied
“I’m fine,dad”he answered
“Has your girl arrived at Zanzibar?” His father asked
“How did you know that” he asked
“Did you forget our deal already? Well if you did because I didn’t say anything about it doesn’t mean I also did, I just intentionally took more time” his father said.
“Really? Daddy?” He asked in disbelief
“Yes,son” his father replied
“Is that why you called dad?” He asked
“Not only that, I want you home because you have to be representing me at events,your brothers can’t be the only ones doing that all the time” his father said
“But dad you know such events are boring to me” his answered
“ you have to learn it,boy” his father replied
“Please dad” his said pleading
“You can’t just come to my office once in a while to do things that only call for your attention and still collect your share as a shareholder every month.
Do you know how broke you’ll be if I didn’t make you a shareholder?” His father said angrily
“I’m so sorry dad,but you know I’m very good at my job right” he said
