Max and Oliver

"Woah this is pretty impressive. Nice job Mr Uhhh..." said the formidable Captain. Cherry had been full of admiration for the gigantic edifice - she'd be even more baffled to know that such a large mass could be suspended up in the air for such an extremely long period of time. "It's Berge...Lieutenant Berge" he said to Cherry who had a hard deal remembering. The league of lieutenants were just checking up on the heroes, being that they had completed a full three day stay at the Ringdobase. The green amethyst's energy was really difficult to keep track of. Sometimes, it appeared as if it's location was changing, while sometimes it appeared as if there was more than one amethyst in Warsaw. One thing for sure was that no one was yet in possession of the stone - not even Joao or the Hermus Empire. Top officials operating under the Ringdom enforcements insisted there was no urgent need to obtain the stone yet as it was found to be much more dangerous than it actually seemed. "Any tabs on the green amethyst yet Lieutenant?" Cherry continued, looking in Berge's direction. "We've been tracking it's energy like we've been doing for the past year or so and our Intel understands that the stone is still safe in Warsaw" Lieutenant Berge confidently responded. "Don't you think now's the right time to go get it?" Cherry suggested. Lieutenant Berge initially hesitated before answering her question - "Cherry, we think it's best for safety purposes that the green amethyst doesn't get out of position for now" he said. "...but I don't understand...how are we going to get Mason and Madonna back? Isn't rescuing them on your to do list as well?" "Captain, that stone is extremely volatile. It could burn up the whole of Poland in minutes if it ain't properly handled and so we're not going to jeopardize the safety of an entire nation just to rescue two civilians...that hardly sounds fair". Cherry looked a bit dismayed on hearing his words. She silently vowed she'd make Joao pay for all the emotional trauma everyone had been through due to Mason and Madonna's disappearance. Things were never okay; not even for a minute. "By the way...you'll be meeting up with a team of young heroes I like to call the Ringdom Force. "Does everything around here have to have a Ringdom in it? Ringdom Toast...Ringdom Jacuzzi...even Ringdom avocados!" Cherry said, questioning the excessive use of the trending phrase. "Hey! I don't make the names" Lieutenant Berge responded. "Then who does?" the Captain responded almost immediately. "I don't know...hey! I'm guessing you must know of this young high school genius" Lieutenant Berge said, popping up a hologram that displayed a few of Maddison's basic details. "Yeah I do...that's Maddison Riecke. She's my pal. Mason's little sister" Cherry said. "That's right...She's been working on our Intel gathering team for a few days now and she has been marvelous" Berge explained. Maddie had help the Ringdom Undercover Vigilantes combat a few crimes in the few days that she'd been scouted on to the team. Ringdom Incorporated was really playing a huge role in ensuring that law and order was sustained. The scientifically unexplainable criminal occurrences had somehow outwitted the strengths of the law enforcement officials; but the RUV was somewhat equal to the task. The Hermus Empire was taking huge strides towards locating this mystical artifact but Hermus Klostermann was really losing patience with his right hand man - Gregorz. On an unusually chilly night in his secret base in one of Africa's most populous cities known very commonly as Kano, Hermus would be welcoming his loyal subject, while Lord Naphtaloz's reincarnated soul would be welcoming his step brother. Gregorz had been combing through out Warsaw with the Vaagmerian troops in search of the precious stone, but despite the head start he had given by obtaining Maddison's map, he was finding it difficult to locate the stone's energy and so he retreated to his boss - Hermus. As Gregorz arrived at Kano City to meet his fuming boss, he was developing cold feet. Hermus; Lord Naphtaloz's reincarnated physical state, made a smart move by selecting one of the most crude areas in the City to avoid being spotted by any law enforcement agents. "Do you have it?" Hermus boldly demanded of his loyal subject. Lord Naphtaloz had tried so much to adopt to Hermus's lifestyle. He only refrained from drinking yoghurt which he later found out was one of the Vaagmerian overlord's favorite foods. Gregorz would surely go down with a serious mental attack by the time he'd have discovered the raging soul behind Hermus's flesh. "I don't have it yet Lord Hermus, but the troops have never been closer to obtaining it" Gregorz stated. "Why the long delay?!" Hermus wailed. He was really getting sick of numerous excuses - his reincarnated form was going to hold his soul for too long. "It appears the map we vandalized from Catriona Willows and Cherry Naphtaloz was..." Gregorz was explaining before the name 'Cherry' stung Hermus like a bee. "Hold on a second...Did you just say Cherry Naphtaloz?" he said, rising up from his seat. Naphtaloz hadn't just come to sit in an unfamiliar life form, he had come to claim his supposed revenge on his daughter Cherry and her team of now 'fallen' heroes. He claimed doing so was his destiny and so he wouldn't perish unaccomplished a second time. "Pardon me my Lord...but I meant Cherry Davies. She no longer goes by the name Naphtaloz" Gregorz instantly corrected himself. If Gregorz had murdered his daughter without his consent, then Gregorz wouldn't be leaving that very room with his head firm on his body. Lord Naphtaloz in his reincarnated state as Hermus Klostermann didn't want anyone else to take the pleasure of killing his own daughter - he would like to conquer the highly adulated heroine all by himself. "This Cherry...is she still alive?" Hermus said, firmly gripping a rifle in his pocket; ready to shoot his henchman if he received a negative response. "Affirmative sire...of course she is" Gregorz said. He had unknowingly spared his own life; little did he know of Hermus's initial intentions. "...Although I almost killed her with a nuclear cloud the last time I and the troops encountered her..." Gregorz continued and Hermus raised the rifle straight at his forehead on hearing the word 'killed'. Gregorz lifted his hands as a means of signifying surrender and soon Hermus put the rifle down as soon as he reanalyzed his statement. "Gregorz! You should know better than trying to murder your own niece..." Hermus said. Gregorz began to look perplexed on hearing his master's words. He knew Colonel Klostermann knew a whole lot about every single one of his soldiers, but he was certain he never told him about his relationship with Lord Naphtaloz or Cherry. "Sire...I hope you don't mind my asking but...How did you know Cherry was my niece" Gregorz asked in a manner he was certain wouldn't offend his boss. "That doesn't matter!" Hermus yelled as he pulled out a rifle once more. He shot the bullet only a few millimeters short of Gregorz's earlobes. Being an expertly trained combatant, Gregorz only shut his eyes, but didn't fret one single bit. "Time's running out Gregorz! I want that stone! Our quest for...world domination can no longer wait..." Hermus said. He paused to walk closer to his brother and apparent henchman. "Get that stone or your soul will pay the price!" Hermus said. There was something similar in the way both he and Lord Naphtaloz spoke. Gregorz became more confused than he already was. His suspicions were already up but he needed to be careful in proving his hypothesis. Even in Hermus's era, the sergeants, lieutenants and other related workers were used as his slaves. They were being held in b*****e being that their souls had been bought by Sir Klostermann's fortune. Officer Gregorz Naphtaloz was always at the front line of whatever humiliation and inhuman treatment the soldiers received. Officer Greg walked out of Hermus's dome and walked into his ship; which seemed invisible to the eye for miles. He got off the Nigerian territory and flew back to the HKV's foremost Middle Eastern hideout. He left realizing he needed a different approach towards getting this stone that sounded so important to his master. Miles away in Seattle, Ollie came to hang out at Max's on a warm Friday evening. Even a few onlookers who knew of her rocky past in the neighborhood were wowed to see her somewhere other than school. Max was absolutely delighted with the role he had played in Oliver's massive mental recovery. He offered to be a friend when no one else did - that as extremely noble of him. Max offered to just take on a walk round a few places Ollie might have never been to in her brief stay at Seattle. Mrs Riecke gave him the go ahead, but she was initially skeptical about granting her permissions. Maddison promised to help patrol the pair with a few of her floating drones and only then did Mrs Riecke deem it fit to allow Max step out. After Joao's latest a*******n attempt, it was only a great precautionary measure to be on the look out for any unusual occurrences. Following a long walk round the neighborhood, Max then thought Ollie would love to visit the park where it all began. The Seattle Community Park - where Mason was handed the powers and abilities of the ninth guardian. After that very winter evening, things have never been the same for the Rieckes, the city of Seattle and probably the entire globe. "Here we are! The park where it all started" Max said to Ollie. It felt strange but Max and Oliver were now holding hands like an actual couple. Maximilian had at some point at thought of letting go of her hand, but his inner voice told him things would get really awkward if he did. "What do you mean where it all started?" Ollie said questioning Max's statement. She had heard a lot about the super human conquests of Mason and the rest of the fabulous four, but she didn't have a clear idea of what her schoolmate was talking about. "It's a really really long story and I don't know...I don't wanna bore you to death" said Max. "Alright then...if you say so" she responded. Unknown to them, a few of their classmates who were present at the Park were filming the duo, having concluded that they were on a romantic date. "Have you ever felt like you were this close to death?" Max said while gesturing with his index finger and his thumb. "Well..." Ollie began as she paused looking to the skies while they continued walking. They soon found a fine seating spot. "...There was this one time" Ollie continued. She was referring to her narrow survival of the deadly viral disease. Of course, she was close enough to death than Max thought he had been while dangling from the roof. The pair shared their narrow experiences with each other and were completely unaware of the fact that their deep conversations were being caught on camera!
