"We're giving you a choice Officer Gregorz..." said Lieutenant Diogo who quickly recognized the Polish man's facial features and moderate stature - "Hand us those teenagers or suffer the ill consequences of your wrong decision" he continued. Maddie stood far away from the battle ground. She and a number of other sergeants were told not to step in except they received a distress signal from the warriors at the war front. They couldn't risk losing all their warriors in a single battle. "I'm the one standing right next to the pruning heroes, isn't it? One more step from you and my men push this button..." Gregorz said pointing to the glowing blue button that could set the nuclear chamber running. "...and your friends' skins will get peeled off by an atomic cloud" he continued. A shroud of disbelief was blown round the Ringdom camp on receiving his threats. If there was the slightest chance that Cherry and Troy could be liberated without having to rot in a nuclear chamber, then a means must be devised to eliminate all of Gregorz's men before they could push the button - which in respect to all contexts would be very catastrophic. "Lieuty Sanders...can you see this?" Diogo said, sending a message to one of the RUV's few female Lieutenants. "Sure can...hope you're thinking what I'm thinking..." Sanders briefly responded before Gregorz spotted Diogo communicating to someone who supposedly could help turn the tables on him. He reacted immediately, as he wasn't ready to entertain anymore complications. "I hope you're not planning on trying anything funny...or your friends are gonna be nuclear meatloaf once I set these atomic clouds running" Lieutenant Sanders had already sent back up and Gregorz might soon be regretting not having launched the nuclear reactor in time. Diogo tried as much as possible to buy enough time for assistance to arrive. Gregorz was in for the surprise of his life. His bitter quest for revenge had blinded his sense of common reasoning. "I'm sending Dreame and a few more sergeants to the Vaagmer's base. A jet will also be there in about three minutes to get that little girl out of there. We can't risk any casualties" Maddison immediately understood that she had become the subject of the discussion going on on the interlinked communication lines. She soon started appealing to the college of lieutenants to let her out on the base, insisting she had earned the right to do so. Maddison was one who was so drawn to all sorts of challenges; this one wasn't any different. "Uhhh...I don't want to believe I'm the 'little girl' in question here" Maddie said creating a discontinuum in the conversation between Sanders and Diogo. "Maddie we have to get you out of there! Your safety is really important to us right now. What do you think we're going to tell your Mom if some maniac chops your head off with a chain saw?" Sanders said in some heavy word exchange on the com lines. "I promise you ma'am...that's not going to ha..." "No Maddison...once that copter gets out there, you're gonna hop on it and get your a*s straight outta there" said Lieutenant Sanders. The middle aged mercenary was clear in her instructions. As long as Maddie was out there, she was a major security risk. During the few minutes before help could arrive at the HKV undercover base, Gregorz ordered his stewards to form a ring round the pack of RUV sergeants; just in case they attempted to launch a counter offensive attack. He promised to push the button without any hesitation if they tried anything funny. A while later, a whirling noise could be heard from outside the building. It sounded like a coastal wind current from the desert regions rustling some thin metal sheets. Things were about to take a huge flip side. A hero in an outfit that had numerous shades of blue rode on a manoeuvring ice cliff and crashed into the undercover base to the admiration of the Ringdom warriors and the utter dismay of a few Vaagmerian warriors. The liberator who had come to their rescue went by the hero niche 'Dreame'. Dreame was an ageless supra natural who was one of the few beings in the universe to be born with super human abilities. Dreame was a teenager who was brewed to perfection under tutelage at the Ringdom Academy for the Talented. Captain Cherry was amongst the few shortlisted to take full charge over the academy's current set of mentees up until her most recent a*******n. The onus was on him to help his prospective leader regain her freedom. The arrival of the super human figure created a huge disturbance in the Vaagmer's ranks. Dreame who's supernatural talents were coordinated eye and arm reflexes as well as the ability to manipulate and synthesise ice out of nothing, made an unusual opening move by clogging up all of the Ringdoseargents in stone cold meth. No one could understand why he made such a move - could he have turned against his own team mates in such short notice? Hard to fathom so. Dreame made such a move to ensure that the bullets and venom darts of the enemy would be powerless on his co warriors. Gregorz attempted to regain ground in the battle which was on nerve's end. The Vaagmerian quickly pulled out a rifle and tried aiming at the button which would set the nuclear reactor off and running. Despite having a mere cameo, he did get his index to pull the trigger but the ever present Dreame reacted as quick as he could by freezing the on switch just before the bullet could hit it. In it all, Cherry and Troy laid helpless in the nuclear reactor cube. "You i***t! What do you think you are doing?" Gregorz grunted, attempting to intimidate the flying gem with words. "It's over Gregorz! Give it up" said Dreame. Gregorz had a few tricks up his own sleeve and after ensuring the device that had the coordinates on the green amethyst's location was safe in his utility belt, he instructed his minions to attack Dreame with everything they had left. His words indirectly placed a bounty on whoever was able to bring Dreame to book and every single one of them was willing to take the opportunity. "Get him!" he yelled while facing the direction of his front line soldiers. His group of already ill fated warriors charged towards the adolescent warrior with intentions nothing less than annihilation. With the coast finally clear, Officer Gregorz found his way out of the complex; the warlord was determined to get the green amethyst to his boss - Hermus, even if he died trying. Dreame didn't hesitate to put the remainders of the HKV army in ice. At the moment, only he and the duo of heroes - Cherry and Troy, weren't stuck in ice. In a few moments, Dreame phoned Lieutenant Sanders to get some more back up. They needed to ship the opposition army to the right task force; the Vaagmers wouldn't stay trapped in ice forever! So Cherry and Troy were freed from the nuclear reactor unit. The initial blue print which involved obtaining the green amethyst from Poland was all but aborted, as the quest to reach Warsaw kept developing several twists. Maddison returned to Seattle in less than an hour using the Velodrome phenomenon and she was going to have to catch up on a lot of sleep if she wanted to arrive early at school the next morning. Captain Cherry and Troy Willows were taken to an unnamed Ringdom recovery base where the heroes could be recuperated ahead of the trials they'd be facing in the coming days. Meanwhile, back in the Americas, jeopardy continued to loom. The siblings of destruction - Alborroz and Morita had broken loose from prison. The atmosphere was feeling a bit more toxic all around Seattle. There were numerous questions that required answers; one particularly on everyone's lips was "how on earth did the prison guards manage to let Alborroz and Morita slip off their fingers, straight out of their highly confined containment units?". There was a certain nerve of insecurity all around the globe as people were no longer assured of protection from the blue dynamite or the glorious league of paranormal heroes. Faraway from a messy war scene on the Yemeni border, Gregorz had found some respite at the home of his master. Hermus Klostermann had been expecting the arrival of his most trusted henchman and so it was no surprise the manner in which he was received at Hermus's dome. "Do you have the stone?" Hermus asked as his voice echoed all around his respectable abode. Gregorz began to tremble knowing that he hadn't fully finished his master's task. "Unfortunately not Sir Hermus, but I do have a map that could..." "Gregorz!!!" Hermus yelled causing a small quake in the building's foundation. A few leaves outside the premise also began to rustle. "Yes Sir Hermus..." the pitiable mercenary responded in fright. The thought of failing his boss Hermus to whom he had given his full loyalty, had him quaking in his boots. "You will get me that stone...or I'll ship your head and both of your arms back to Houston...do you understand?" Hermus yelled; his voice seeming to create a thunderous effect every time he spoke. "Yes Sire. I shall not fail you!" Officer Gregorz said. He didn't leave the presence of his super ordinate until he was instructed to do so. Gregorz had missed the opportunity to enact his revenge at least on Cherry and Troy; so successfully acquiring the precious stone would serve as a huge consolation for his troubled soul. Hermus Klostermann wasn't actually who he seemed to be. Lord Naphtaloz; who had died a few months ago at the hands of Mason, was actually the soul underneath Hermus's physical state. With the help of his fifth universe crony - Vircosha, Naphtaloz had somehow reincarnated into Hermus's body. Although, he was without his previous super human enhancements, Lord Naphtaloz needed to obtain the green amethyst to restore his old physical form. His reincarnation would come as a huge surprise for all four of earth's finest guardians, but more particularly for Cherry. They were all sure the vendetta had been vanquished long ago following their conquest in Seattle a few months ago, but it now began to feel like nothing was certain yet. The green amethyst now looked like the hottest artifact on the planet. It held the fate of the entire galaxy! Hermus Klostermann; who was actually Lord Naphtaloz's reincarnated form, was one of the few who were in pursuit of the precious stone and with it he planned to restore his previous form and rematerialize his ambition of global and galactic domination. Officer Gregorz was his foot stool, bit he would soon be thinking of going after the amethyst himself. For Joao and her Inversian compatriots, the green amethyst was weighty to their pursuit for a global take over bid. The reason for Joao's bitterness towards Planet Earth remained untold;.however in conquests like this, efforts counted for nothing - only passion, ardor and desire would be of relevance. The fate of the galaxy swung in the balance and no lips bore accuracy concerning what would come of the galaxy in the coming days.
