THE EMERALDS (ACT SEVEN)

At The Balcony.

I wandered at the balcony, looking for the unknown person that messaged me. Then I began to hear some footsteps from the door side. I turned and saw someone but it wasn't clear because the balcony was somehow dark,I thought it was a ghost.

Mr Peter:Calm down darling. I'm your....

Damina:(Cuts in)get out and just let me be.

Mr Peter:No dear, how can I leave you when I'm deeply in love with you.

Damina:Get out you oldie.

Mr Peter:Oh baby girl, you are too sweet to be left alone. Just come to me.

Damina: You'll never go scot free,now leave me alone.

Mr Peter:No dear, come closer to me (drags her to himself).

Damina:(Tries to push him)I said go, leave me (tears begins to flow down her cheeks).

Mr Peter:(Holds her hands tightly)seems you're stubborn.

I pushed him several times but he seemed too strong for me. He dragged me and wanted to take advantage of me but I struggled.

The Emeralds were passing by,then they heard Damina's voice.

Ray:I wonder what's going on there.

Cruella:I think it's the voice of that useless girl, Damina.

Ivan:I have a feeling that Damina is in trouble.

Mira: Yeah and I wish she dies there.

Ivan:I need to save her(tries to leave).

Mira:Hey Ivan, where are you going to?

Ivan:To the balcony (takes a step forward).

Mira:(In her mind)I need to do something to stop Ivan,yes I think I have an idea (places her hand on her forehead) ouch! my head hurts. Ivan, please help me,I can't see anything, my head is...oh no.... my head hurts a lot....I..I..(falls on the floor).

Deborah:Oh no,Mira what's wrong? Guys, I think she have fallen unconscious. Ivan, let's leave that nonentity and save our friend.

Ivan:You guys can carry on, I'm going to save Damina and that's final (leaves to the balcony).

Mira:(Opens her eyes immediately)So Ivan chose that girl over me (stands up from the ground)I had to lie down on this dirty floor just so that Ivan will leave that girl and save me. Guys, let's leave immediately (they all follows her and leaves).

At the balcony .

Mr Peter: Who's that person entering here?

Ivan: it's none of your business who I am, leave that girl alone.

Mr Peter:And who are you to her?her boyfriend? side chick? or her guidian?

Ivan:You are not ashamed of yourself. A married man like you is a womanizer, shameless fool,now leave that girl.

Mr Peter:What will you do?

Ivan:(Drags Damina out from Mr Peter hands then he lifts up a wooden stick and hits it on the man's head,then he fell unconscious).

20 Minutes Later

At the administrative office.

Teachers,staff, the principal, the dean of studies,head of department and other higher authorities were all sat in a circle and Mr Peter was laid in the middle. He opened his eyes and to his greatest shock,he saw all of them surrounding him with mean faces. I was standing close to the wall behind Ivan and my heart was beating very fast.

Mr Hills:(Adjusts his spectacle)as you're regaining consciousness,just take your letter of.....

Mr Peter: Please Sir,I'm sorry. My fellow teachers I'm sorry. Damina please forgive me, I'm very sorry,Sir please don't sack me.

Mrs Savage:Here, you've been sacked from work, your service isn't needed here again. You can have this letter (keeps the letter on the ground and leaves).

Mr Hills: Teachers,you guys can go back to your respective classes and one more thing,if any teacher tries this act then you'll receive something worst than this. And you,Mr Peter, the news have gone round the school,both in the whole of the town,it has been announced by the school's media in the news,in the newspaper,in the television and in the radio.

Mr Peter:What!oh no, I'm finished.

Mr Hills:When you're done staying on the floor,then you'll leave the school's compound,else I'll tell the security personnels to thrash you out of this school compound.

Mr Peter: I'm really sorry (stands on his feet).

After he was done packing his belongings,he left the school's compound with shame.

Damina:(Walks inside her room and sees her friends sat on the bed)hey girls, what's up?

Blannie: Girl,how could you? how could you hide such a thing from us?

Damina: I'm sorry girls.

Elma:And you've been hiding it from us from a long time now,why?

Damina: I'm sorry girls,I was threatened by the man. Babes, please forgive me.

Jessica:So you didn't trust our abilities or what?

Damina:I did but I was just afraid of the man.

Elma: Alright, it's okay and we're so sorry for what you had to pass through.

Damina: It's alright. Thank God that Ivan arrived on time and saved me.

Blannie:So what did you get for us for apology?

Damina:(Opens her backpack) here,a sandwich (gives it to them).

Some minutes later

Blannie: Hey Damie, have you thanked our hero, Ivan?

Damina:I was about to do that but he disappeared all of a sudden. I didn't care to look for him because I knew he'll be with his friends but I'll definitely do that when I get the chance to do it.

Blannie: Alright.

Jessica: (Takes the last bite of her sandwich) let's go to the cinema.

Elma:Why don't we stay here and have our own cinema? we'll turn off all the lights and fill out bowls with milky popcorns. That'll be fun right?

Damina: Yeah, it's cool tho.

Blannie: Alright girls,no problem, we'll have it done here.

Elma:But we'll first and have our baths after which we'll have our dinner.

Jessica: Who'll be cooking tonight?

Elma:I know you're too lazy to cook, that's why you are asking this question right?

We all laughs in chorus.

Damina: Alright we'll cook together.

Jessica:(Frowns).

Elma:(To Jessica)lazy girl.

Blannie:So guys, we'll cook together.

Damina: Alright pookie.

We all went to have our baths after which we had our jumpsuits on with our hairs covered then we had a Yorkshire pudding for dinner,then we had our cinema. It was fun tho.
