ACT TWO

DAMINA'S POV

It was on a Monday morning and the four girls including me were getting ready for school.

I wore a stripped, black, short gown (body hug) and a blue flip-flop then I left my hair down and applied some hair cream. I applied my skin-friendly skin care then I put on my spectacles. Then I rushed out for Blannie's lip gloss because I forgot mine at home, then I applied a lip balm.

Blannie: You're looking charming.

Damina: Thanks a lot.

Jessica wore a tight singlet, yellow in color with a baggy jeans, then she put on a sleeveless shirt on top. She wore a Louis Vuitton designers hat and a high sandal. She took a mirror and looked at herself then she applied a little bit of white powder and a pink lipstick matching with her pink lips.

Damina: Awwn, you're looking cute.

Jessica: (Smiles) thanks.

Blannie wore a white jumpsuit with a white designers canvas then she reluctantly packs her long curly hair into a row then she rounds it and uses an elastic band to hold it up together. She didn't apply anything on her face because it didn't seem necessary to her. She crosses her headset around her neck and carried her phone in her hand.

Elma wore a short jean gown and a jean sleeved jacket and wore a boot shoe. Then she applied some hair cream and wore a red face cap. She puts on her sunglasses, throws a kiss in the air and takes a selfie.

Blannie: You're looking good.

Jessica: You look very very very pretty.

Damina: You're looking like a frozen princess.

Elma: Thanks for the comments.

We all laughs and leaves for class.

AT THE CLASS

The class was a little bit far from our house but we all had to trek. It was lovely walking to the class in that cool early morning. A lady which looks like she's in her late 30s walks inside the class. I didn't know her name so I kept shut while they were greeting.

Mrs. Ruby: Hi!

Students: Good morning ma.

Mrs. Ruby: Same to you guys.

(She looks at me and smiles) Mrs. Ruby: I don't think I've seen you before.

Damina: (Smiles) yes ma'am. I'm Damina Jeff's and I'm a new student.

Mrs. Ruby: I'm Mrs. Ruby Dwens.

Damina: Okay ma.

Mrs. Ruby: Are you a citizen of America?

Damina: No ma. I'm a citizen of London but I'm a native of America.

Mrs. Ruby: Nice meeting you.

Damina: Thanks ma'am.

Some minutes later, 7 students walked in the class in group. They were 4 girls and 3 boys. They were all putting on some fashion clothes but I looked away tho.

Mrs. Ruby: Hey Debby, didn't you notice that you stepped on me.

Deborah: (Blows a bubble in the air and turns to Mrs. Ruby). Should I lick or squat and clean the shoes?

Mrs. Ruby: Can't you apologize?

Mira: (Laughs) For what? why will she apologize? Look old hag, mind yourself or we'll mind it for you (walks to her seat).

Deborah: You heard her right? (smiles).

I got scared but took a grip of myself.

Damina: Who're they?

Jessica: THE EMERALDS!!!

Damina: What!

Jessica: You heard me right. That rang a bell right?

Damina: Off course. Tell me more about them.

Jessica: They aren't scared of anyone. They feels that they are the richest in the whole school. No one dares to talk back at them else they'll make you miserable. Infact, they are the ones running the school.

Damina: That's wrong. The author.......

Mrs. Ruby: Hey Damina, keep shut.

Damina: Sure ma'am.

I tangled my hair as I kept on remembering what just happened.

Mrs. Ruby: Please Zoe, can you decrease the volume of your video.

Zoe: I should?

Mrs. Ruby: Decrease the volume of the video, can't your hear again?

Zoe: Huuuuuuuh, I don't think I can stay in this boring damn class (picks up her backpack and leaves the class).

Ray: Me too, I can't stay in this place for even a minute (takes his power bank and music player and leaves the class).

I was gripped in fear because they looked like people in cult but Blannie told me they weren't in cult. I looked at Jessica and she was already half asleep then I rested my head on the desk and didn't even know when I dozed off.
