The Broken Omega

Chapter 3

SHE is again inside the packhouse. Her duty for today is to clean the dirty kitchen, and it is absolutely dirty.

Alyanna sighed because it will be another set of long work.

While scrubbing the floor and minding her business, she suddenly felt a pain in her back when someone slapped her on that part. It is the old lady cook, Maria, who always pushes her aside and gave her a good beating.

"I heard that you received a punishment yesterday? I hope I can watch you, it will be satisfying to see you hurt that good."

She didn't dare to speak anything. But inside of her mind, she wants to talk back and defend herself. That she does not deserve does word at all. Alyanna never harm anyone, she did not say anything bad, she always works hard for a piece of bread, and in the hope that they will recognize the significance of every omega.

She ignored Maria and continue her task. The earlier she can finish it, the better.

Before the clock hits noon, she is almost done with wiping the dirty old floor. She is exhausted and starving at the same time.

She smiled brightly and wiped her sweat on her forehead. She can finally go and take a break for the rest of the day. She promised to make time with George and Vanessa. They will go to the forest and catch fish on the nearby river. They are planning to forage and find some wild fruits and berries.

Before she leaves the kitchen, she suddenly smells something so good. It is a mixture of the scent of vanilla and chocolate. As if she is pulling in a certain direction.

She went at the nack of the packhouse where the garden is located. He saw alpha Leonard there... And it hits her when she realized that the cruel alpha is her mate.

"Mine... Mine... Mine. " Her wolf is jumping in excitement. She is certain that the one who abused her more than anyone else is her mate.

She felt mixed emotions. Like her heart is beating fast because she is scared and in love at the same time. She fears rejection, she heard it is painful.

But what if the alpha will accept her? Isn't it a good opportunity and chance for them, omega, to claim and regain their reputation?

She took all her courage to walk in the direction of the alpha.

"You are my mate," Alyanna boldly said in front of the raging alpha. When she saw that his eyes are full of fire, she immediately walks backward.

Alyanna squealed when the alpha grabbed her neck, and almost choked her to death. She is hanging for her dear life. "You dare to say it!"

The aloha let her go, and she was dropped to the ground. Alyanna barely breathing at that point. She is crying because she is so disappointed.

She thought that a mate is a lovely thing. Mated pairs should take care of each other and love each other. She is confused. Why does everything happen like this? She can't accept it.

"You know?" she asked with a teary-eyed. "You know that I am your mate?!"

"Yes, I know, and I hate that fact! If not because of a promise, I wiped you and your friend! But I simply can't do that! But you are pushing me to kill you, damn it!"

She is questioning why? Why does he hate her so much? Did she make anything to make him angry at her?

"Why? Why do you hate me?! I never did something wrong! I am your mate! Why can't you see that!"

"Because you are a damn omega! Put that on your brainless head that I will not accept any omega as my mate! Get out of here before I kill you with my two bare hands!"

She ran away without minding other people whispering. She runs fast until she reaches their treehouse. She is beyond exhausted, and her wolf sole cannot accept the fact that they are being rejected that easily.

He felt immense pain inside of her. She is barely calm and breathing. She doesn't want to fight anymore.

"What happens to you?" George asked her while they are now on the riverside, fishing for their celebration. She can not feel any happiness inside of her.

"I found my mate..." she said lifelessly.

Vanessa shouted in happiness. "Really? Is he handsome? Sweet? Caring? Did he say I love you for the first time?"

She shake her head and smiled helplessly. "Alpha Leonard is my mate."

Both of them broke into silence. She can feel the shocked expression of her two friends. "That can not be true. He is the worst."

She can't stop agreeing with him. George is right, her mate is a cruel guy, and she is foolish enough to confess when she can foresee what will happen next.

She tried not to ruin the mood. They started fishing, make a fire, and grilled their bounty.

They are happy making time, where this circle is the only group they can fit in. Alyanna realized that there is no reason for them to stay inside a pack that hated them.

They had to escape.

"You are here! You! Alyanna, the alpha is searching for you. Come with me."

Four-pack warriors suddenly grabbed her arms. She wants to protest, but it will be just a futile act.

They went to the center of the territory, where the whole community is waiting. She realizes then what will happen next.

"No, it can not be!" she exclaimed. She saw Lorraine giving her a mocking smile. Her supposed to be mate has no expression in his eyes.

"A mere omega though that he can be exempted to their curse! The alpha should show no mercy! Rejection is the only option."

They are cruel! Heartless from the very start.

The alpha walks in her direction. She is crying, and she is begging.

"Please... Please, don't." Her tears would not dry for any second. Her wolf soul is whimpering in pain.

"I, Alpha Leonard Scarlet, reject Alyanna as her mate."
