Chapter 18

Luke- Rennie stayed on my lap the whole drive to Kyle’s cabin. Her soft breath caressing my neck. It wasn’t easy to not get excited, but I managed the best I could. Kyle and I didn’t speak the whole drive. I did catch him peaking over pretty often though. Who could blame him, our mate was superb! I couldn’t believe she had slapped me twice and tried to take me on at the steps. The fight in her could match my own! Yet she was so tiny and frail. Still, her wolf had surprised Fenrir. That wasn’t easy to do, especially on her first intentional shift! I remember Kyle telling me about his best friend Rennie over the years. Their friendship turned to love after he saw her when he turned fifteen. Still, he waited and kept his distance, until he knew she was ready. I wasn’t so sure I could be so patient. Three years knowing she was my mate would have been complete torture! I’m proud of my brother, I think he did the right thing. She’s very much in love with him. I thought about rejecting her. Making things easier for all of us. I’ve waited so long on a mate; I don’t know how to act or feel. I’m jealous of the relationship between Kyle and our mate. I want that too. The pure love of putting your mates needs above all. I guess in a way I received a bit of that tonight. Even though our father is an Alpha, he isn’t my Alpha. I belonged to my mother’s pack. She was a lone Luna, making me strong. I have her to thank for a lot. However, I was known for my cruelty. When my mother was murdered, I hunted down the entire pack that attack ours. I was away on business at the time, but it didn’t take me long to track them down. Every fighting man and woman from the pack that I could find died. My wolf raged those months. There was no sating him. In the aftermath, my reputation was being the cruelest alpha to ever live. I didn’t mind though, it kept my pack safe. The rumors didn’t tell how I’d homed all the orphans or widows. I offered my pack to them or found them a new pack. Only a few from the hundred chose Rogue. Still, I didn’t want Rennie to see that side of me. She was to sweet and innocent to ever accept that side of me. Deep down, I knew it. Kyle was the better man between us. No, he didn’t take his role as Alpha seriously enough. But Kyle never wanted to be Alpha either. If it wasn’t for trying to join the packs, I’d never have been here. I’d never have met Rennie. I’d still feel empty and incomplete. It’s weird how such a tiny person can fill such a large hole instantly. I wanted a mate, but I wasn’t ready for a mate. Seeing her, I was more than ready. Feeling her hand smashing against my face, finalized that feeling. The second slap just turned me on. I smiled to myself remembering earlier, the fire in her eyes. Her strength radiating into me. I needed to change my thought process before I poked her. After about twenty-five minutes of driving, Kyle pulled into small drive with trees lining both sides. It wasn’t rough compared to his parent’s little community entrance from the main road. Another five minutes he slowed the truck, pulling into a driveway. A quaint little two-story cabin with a small barn surrounded by the woods. “We are on the Eastern border. There is the least amount of traffic here and it borders your territory. This is Rennie’s house.” He said as he shut off the engine. ‘Rennie’s house.’ He didn’t say their house. He said Rennie’s house. Then it struck me. He’d started working on this house to occupy his time before Ren shifted. When she didn’t shift at fifteen like most, he waited instead of rejecting her and finding someone else. He loved her before they were mated. That thought alone warmed me. It gave my mate extra protection and love when I had duties. What I felt for Ren was love, but I already had a pack that counted on me to do what was best for them. I know Ren is strong, but does she even want to be a Luna? Mating to her and abducting her into our pack. That was just something I didn’t know if she was ready for. Kyle had said her wolf had been out for a week. One week. Also, that it was her birthday party. I felt a ping of sadness, knowing I ruined her party by identifying as her mate. I should have had better control! I didn’t mean to cause a scene and embarrass her. I’m pretty sure she’s going to have a lot to say about that. Probably about a lot of things honestly. Her gorgeous deep green eyes penetrated through me the instant I looked into them. When her knee connected with my c**k, I fell in love with the gold swirling around them. Don’t get wrong, I was a bit upset about that, at the same time she was captivating! Her wild nature drawing me in. When she said she didn’t understand but didn’t want me to die, my heartbeat for the first time in forever. She cared, instantly. The thought of either myself my brother dying tore her in two. My suggestion of rejecting me wasn’t on her mind once. In fact, it only made her cry harder. Leaving wasn’t an option, feeling her pain then my brothers amplified it until I couldn’t take another step. That moment I knew I’d do anything for her. I’d let her put a leash on me and walk my wolf through downtown New York if it would make her smile. I looked down to her tiny hand, wrapped in my shirt. A ring glistened in the moonlight. Wasn’t she afraid it would break in a shift or cut off the circulation in her paw? I’d have to talk to her about that. Maybe she could put it on a chain around her neck. Her fingers are so tiny and precious, I couldn’t wait to see how they fit into mine! I wasn’t sure how we would manage this thing between us. I’m an Alpha, what is mine is mine. Only mine. Kyle’s my brother, they are already mated. Killing him could kill her. That was not an option. Rejecting me will cause her to feel loss, then Kyle linking it all back to me amplified. I would die. Kyle knew that. He didn’t make it an option. Instead he said it was Ren’s choice on what she wanted. Not her choice who she wanted. And that left me with so many questions… I am the Alpha, what is mine… Is only mine. By law she is my mate. I am Alpha, I take what is mine.. Kyle- I walked around to the passenger side of the truck. Luke kept Ren in his arms, even getting out. She curled around his large frame now asleep. She looked so precious and serene; I didn’t want to wake her. Instead of taking her from him, I nodded and headed to the house. As Luke stepped up on the porch, I could see Ren’s dress had ridden up. Her little ass poked from under her black dress. Luke’s arms were at her waist, he hadn’t seemed to notice her dress had ridden out. I was jealous however that the core of her being was exposed to him. Why do I always want her without underwear! What was wrong with me? In all honesty, I’d just rip them from her anyway. Probably before she even made it out of the house. Her pale thighs hanging at his sides, just dangling there little black sandals at the ends. Even in my brother’s arms she was a sight to behold. I unlocked the door and turned on the light so he could take her in. The bedroom is upstairs at the end of the hall. “I need a drink.” It bothered me that I could just let him take her upstairs to our bedroom. To our bed. Then again, I wasn’t worried he’d hurt her. “I’ll lay her down, have a drink ready for me?” Luke said trying to smile. I could tell the day had worked hard on my brother. I know it wasn’t easy for him to go against our father, not for me. I know he did it for Rennie, that made it okay. In both our eyes. Luke went up the stairs as I went to the liquor cabinet. My father bombarded me with links the whole way home. I can block him, but he has a way of breaking though. The whole time he yelled I picked up on his anger, it wouldn’t be the first time he threatened to throw me out of the pack. Not that I cared. I made it clear to him many times, Rennie is my focus. She is my heart. She is my drive to strive for better. If pack life wasn’t meant for her, then I would follow her. Pack was important, Rennie was just more important. I poured us a few fingers each then took them to the kitchen. I sat them on the island counter and took up residence in Rennie’s normal seat. The one I pick on her about, calling it her m**********g stool. I smile to myself. It had been about five minutes since Luke had taken her upstairs, I was ready to check on them. As I reached the top of spiral staircase, he exited the bedroom. He held his hand up to reassure me, “She was restless for a minute.” I nodded and headed back down the steps and into the kitchen. I sat back in Rennie’s m**********g stool. “So…” Luke took the stool beside me. I took a long drink before I focused on him. “I don’t know man.” I finally said leaning back in the stool. “We’re mated.” “And she’s my mate too.” He said slowly, seeming treading lightly. “Alpha’s don’t share.” He ran his hand through his hair. “She’s not just wolf.” I’d been asking myself if I should tell him. I know it’s her secret but he’s my brother. Even if they were not mated, I’d tell him. I tell him everything Rennie. He gave me an odd look, “The purple in her eyes.” I looked at him and nodded. “She’s part witch.” I looked down at my glass, “I think her powers have been trying to break through. It would only make sense. Her wolf pushed through at eighteen. Three years late.” “How did you manage waiting?” Luke said bluntly. “It wasn’t easy. I built her house. Worked to save money for a good start for us to do whatever she wanted. I stalked her.” I said finally. “I’d hide out at her house at night, patrolling. I’d stare through her window. I’d take her to school and home. Rennie is my reason for everything.” “Why didn’t you just take her?” Luke looked at me as if I had two-head. “You’re an Alpha.” “I didn’t want to take Rennie. I wanted Rennie to accept me. She didn’t know anything about shifters. Her father is our dad’s beta. He kept everything from her.” I started explaining. “I couldn’t just take her and throw her into pack life. I don’t even know if she wants pack life.” “You’re an Alpha, pack life comes with you.” He said to me, not fully understanding. “Rennie wasn’t raised with pack. She didn’t even know what a shifter was when it happened. Her mom ran for her Luke. She's still scared.” I said softly letting all my worries and frustrations come to life. “I think they bound her witch powers. That’s why her wolf was late.” “If they bond her powers, then there is a reason.” He swirled the last of his liquor in his cup. “Have you talked to Rennie about it?” “No, not really. She doesn’t know much. Nothing other than her grandpa is in a coven and he’s a high up. He put a spell on her mom, trying to break the wolf bond between her parents. It took her dad almost six months find her. Even then she didn’t remember him. She was pregnant at the time with Rennie. One touch and everything came flooding back. Ren’s dad moved her to the Western borders and he never looked back.” “Have you tried talking to him?” Luke asked. “I haven’t had the chance. Tonight, is the first night we’ve left the cabin.” I blushed slightly. “Other than to let our wolves run.” “So her wolf huh?” Luke smiled, “Knocked Fenrir around huh?” “Caught him by surprise. Her wolf is majestic! She’s grey with different tones running through her fur, but in the light she’s silver!” I know my voice sounded mushy, but I didn’t care. Luke just stared at me with envy. “She’ll want to run again soon.” I told him, reassuringly. Luke chuckled lightly, “I remember you describing her as nothing but knees and elbows.” He slapped his leg, “Are you blind?” “I was fourteen!” I laughed. “The way you described her; she was beautiful even then.” Luke looked up to my eyes. “I fell in love with Rennie every time you told me about her. I wanted to meet her so bad. To see the vixen that captured my brother.” He ran his hand through his hair again, “Tonight… I never meant for it to happen. I never thought. And then the pull.” His eyes fell. “Yeah, her pull is strong.” I said softly, understand how he felt. He’d waited even longer for his mate. “Tell me she is your everything the moment you set eyes on her, brother.” “Your lucky to be alive little brother.” His voice was dark but held no contempt for me. I chuckled lightly because he doesn’t realize how close he came to dying tonight. Fenrir was outraged, he still is. But he’s calming as he chits with Luke’s wolf. “It’s been a rough day.” He sits the glass in the sink, “Let’s go to our mate so she rests well.” Sighing inwardly, I rocked back on my stool and downed the last of the ember liquid in my glass. “It’s my honey pot first thing in the morning.” Luke’s grumbles turned into chuckles as he headed up the winding steps, “I’m going to bed Pooh.” Following suit, I placed my glass in the sink and headed for the steps. Luke stood in the doorway, stone still. I walked behind him not understanding until I looked over his shoulder. Ren’s blanket was wrapped around her waist, her dress had ridden up, bunching with the blanket. Sound asleep, she whimpered softly. Her butt shining, a perfect view, the moonlight streaming through the window. “Mmhmm… Honey pot.” I repeated for him taking a minute to scent the room. “It smells so good.” He whispered. I could hear strain in his voice. I looked at Ren again, her wild red curly hair spread behind her. On her side, facing the wall. Angelic with her bottom on display. “She needs to rest.” My voice came out gruff as I felt Fenrir trying to push through. So tasty. Just one lick. I walked into the bedroom around my brother stripping off my clothes, in our bed we slept naked. I crawled in bed beside her and nudged her, “Baby let me help you with your dress. She wiggled, squirming into my touch. I couldn’t help but smile. I pulled the zipper down and unclipped her bra before I fed her arms out of her gown. Luke moved to the end of the bed, watching me. Rennie’s eyes fluttered open and then closed. “Get it off me dammit!” she cussed her finger trying to rip the fabric as I scooted it down her short body. Luke’s eyes watched in amazement; I knew she’d be upset in the morning. Tonight, I wanted her comfortable and resting. I nodded to Luke to take the other side of the king size bed. As it dipped Rennie kicked the last of her dress over my head and into the floor. Her eyes fluttered open long enough to focus on Luke, “In our bed, we sleep naked. It’s a rule.” She tore his shirt from him and all I could do was watch. “Rules are rule and you get punished for breaking them.” She notified him; her lips pursed. She shoved him back on the bed, not giving him time to take his pants off. Rennie’s small hand morphed into a claw. Placing her paw on Luke’s chest she ran it over his skin lightly before curving it around his belt. Jerking her hand, the belt broke open along with the front of his pants. My mouth dropped; I’d never seen someone only morph one part of their body. “Be quick about it, I’m tired.” She said laying her head back against me. Luke’s mouth hung wide open, “What the f**k?” his words came through in a surprised excited scream. I nodded, “I’d hurry up.” Luke wiggled out of his now three-quarter waisted jeans, flinging them to floor. As soon as his head hit the pillow again, Ren was wrapping around his chest. Her ass pushed against my bare c**k, “Come closer.” She whimpered softly. Not knowing which one she was talking to, we both inched against her. I wrapped my arms around her from behind, my c**k poking against her round pale ass. Luke wrapped his arm around her top half, cradling her against him. Rennie rapped her legs over mine, her head and hand on Luke’s chest. She wiggled her butt against me and nestled Luke’s chest. “So warm.” She cooed, her eyes fluttering trying to stay open. Only to fail as she drifted off to sleep. Rennie’s warmth a comfort spread over me, lulling me into slumber. “She’s flawless.” My brother linked me. My eyes still closed a grin spreading over my face, “Wait until you taste her honey pot Luke.”
