Lilith's POV
It was dawn, I barely had enough sleep last night with the heat inside of me.
I rolled to my side, my arm bent under my head, my gaze out the window. I stared out till the sky became bright.
A knock on my door made me flinch. Ryker.
My eyes rolled involuntarily. What does he want now?
“Baby. I'm sorry for last night. I shouldn't have talked to you like that last night.”
The side of my upper lip lifted slightly in disgust. What the heck?
“What do you want, Ryker?” I asked. There must be something he needed, that was always the reason he would apologize for anything.
“I just wanted to let you know that I regretted my actions. I was a jerk.”
