Rue’s POV
“What did you lie to her about?” Beta Frakas asked me, as he shifted to me in front.
My hand reached for the back of my neck and I scratched it. “That I was trained by Beta Lucian and that he was my mentor.”
Beta Frakas' jaw dropped. “Wh– Why would you tell her that?”
I shrugged. “Because I– wanted her.” I gritted my teeth as soon as I went mute, I shouldn’t have stopped the sentence there.
“She is married, Rue. You are the Alpha of this pack, what do you think people would say?”
My jaw dropped as I stared at him. “That wasn't what I meant– s**t. Common Beta Frakas.”
