Kylie was inside the Dome, her council all working hard around her. She was overlooking the world below. She could see Victor and Vincent, they were pacing around looking for something. m She wasn't sure what was happening but she decided to find out.
Kylie flashed down and stopped in front of Vincent. "What is happening?" she asked confused.
"Anna, we can't find her," Vincent answered.
Kylie looked to the side and saw that Rosie was just as concerned.
"Where did Victor go?" Kylie asked Vincent
"He is going crazy, he is following anything that is remotely like her scent," Rosie answered.
"Where would she go?" Kylie asked. "When was the last time someone saw her?" Kylie questioned.
Kylie soon realized that everyone in the pack was searching for Anna. Teams were sent into the neighboring forest and others were sent towards town. She mind-linked with her mates and they quickly appeared by her side.
"We need to find Anna," Kylie told them.
They quickly started to look for her themselves Griffin flashed them to several different locations as he sensed her. Each time, the trail took them in a new direction.
Griffin flashed the other three from location to location with him, they quickly spread out and searched the areas for clues. They could sense her presence but did not find Anna.
"Someone is distorting her essence." Griffin angrily spat out.
"Why would someone do that?" Sven questioned him.
"They don't want us to find her, but why?" Brandon asked.
"Witches," Jason said after thinking.
They continued on for the next week, everything that they found, they followed every trail that was left. All leading to dead ends.
The pack was in a similar place, they followed every tiny lead, finding no trace of Anna. Victor was out of his mind trying to locate his mate. Vincent was having the same reactions. Neither of the twins would rest, they both were out combing the packs trying to locate Anna. She seemed to have disappeared into thin air.
Rosie could feel the pain of her sister, she knew that Anna was still alive.
Victor and Vincent could also feel Anna was in pain and it was making them crazy.
Kylie was using her resources and casting spells, it seemed that the powers hiding her sister-in-law were moving at a rate that was a step ahead of her. Her mates were concerned about her well being. She was working day and night, hadn't been able to stomach food, and the exhaustion was close to taking over her body.
"I've reached out to Mabel and her coven is working on a locator spell," Jason said sitting down next to Kylie.
"Thank you for securing their assistance," Kylie said looking at him.
"Now I really need you to eat something. You are losing too much weight." He said pushing the food towards her that Griffin had made.
Kylie looked at the food in front of her, feeling nauseous.
"I promised him that I wouldn't leave this room until I saw you eat something. At least a cracker, he said he made everything bland because you keep getting sick."
Kylie looked at Jason and picked up a cracker and slowly choked it down. "I need to find my brother's mate."
"If you don't take care of yourself, you won't be able to help anyone with anything." He said looking at her.
Chance and Chase were surprised when a witches coven were stopped coming from all directions trying to enter pack lands. They demanded to see the Alphas. Between them, Chance, Chase, Vincent, and Victor went to the corners of the pack and met with the witches.
"Alpha Jason asked for our help locating the future Luna," Mabel explained.
Chance mind-linked his brother and sons telling them to allow the witches coven to enter the lands. Victor was wary of trusting them.
"If this is a trick, I will kill every last one of you," he warned.
The witches inspected everything that had been found and took small pieces to use in the spell.
Mabel walked the pack-lands taking in all the sites, chanting incantations attempting to see what had happened. She wanted to follow Anna's final day, see everything through her eyes. Her coven was walking with her chanting along, using their powers to help boost her own. Finally, she got the last image, something covering her head, the difficulty breathing, and how dark it was. Everything ended with a sharp pain to the neck, then complete blackness.
