Breaking Bonds

The process had taken hours, Kylie stared down at him. The imprint of her hand was clearly visible on his throat.
He choked out, "What more could you possibly do?"
Kylie smiled at him, an evil glint in her eyes, "You thought you were going to break me, you broke your mate many years ago, and today we break you."
"w***e," Jackson mumbled out.
Kylie's smile spread wider across her face, "You make this so easy."
Jason knew she was angry and things were about to heat up. He looked at Griffin, who was giving him the same look. Next to Sven, he also knew what was coming.
Kylie began the process to sever the bond, she was quite meticulous in the process. Her mates were completely amazed to see her in action. They saw her focus on the Alpha in front of her.
Kylie's hands continued in the processes that she had already begun. She mumbled out incantations and spells. She continued to add powders and powers. Brilliant lights continued to shoot from her hands, her body hovering above the scene. Her eyes locked onto Griffin for a brief moment and again focused onto Jackson. The process continued well into the night, as she removed the bond from his body, she took her time, ensuring she would not harm Kitty.
Screams were heard for miles, Alpha Jackson feeling searing pain like someone was dissecting him.
Cody cringed hearing the screams. He along with many in the pack wondered what was happening. Soon they were all down upon their knees. They all felt the bond break, Kylie had successfully ended the link between Kitty and Jackson. Although Kylie was the new Luna, Kitty had been for so many years. She had done so much for everyone, they felt shocked.
As she completed the process, Jason took her into his arms, "I want to watch him." she said pushing him away.
Griffin was surprised, she should be exhausted.
"Kylie what are you doing?" Griffin asked.
"Watching him," she answered.
"I know you are in pain, breaking bonds, it would hurt you," Griffin said trying to help her.
"I need to be sure," she mumbled
"We both know you broke it." he said trying to calm his breathing."
They watched the once-mighty Alpha as he withered around on the floor.
"What ... did... .you... .do?" he groaned out.
"She is finally free," Kylie answered studying his face.
"You will kill her too," he said smugly. Pain all over his face.
"We shall see," she said glaring at him. "See you tomorrow," she said smiling as she walked out of the cell, locking it behind herself.
Kylie was met by Sven as soon as she cleared the corner. He held her, attempting to calm her nerves.
"Deep breaths," he said in a soothing voice as he ran his fingers over her trembling body.
Jason walked up behind her and scooped her up into his arms. "Let's get you back," he said against her ear.
"No, I'm not done yet," Kylie responded. "Take me to the residence." her head against his shoulder.
Griffin responded, "I can do that."
"No," Kylie said shaking her head. "The pack needs to see me, I have to walk out of her and to the pack-house."
"You're weak, breaking that bond, it hurts you too," Griffin said with agitation in his tone.
"The pack doesn't need to know that," Kylie informed him. "I need a nap and then I will return."
Griffin decided not to argue anymore and helped her get back on her feet once they reached the door.
As the door opened, they saw Cody waiting for them. "What did you do?" he whispered out.
Sven growled at him, his eyes aglow.
Kylie placed her hand upon his shoulder to calm him down. "Relax," she ordered.
Sven's eyes immediately met hers,
"Relax, I need you to calm down."
He nodded and glared at Cody.
Cody continued after he saw Sven calmed by his Luna. "We felt Kitty's bond from the pack break. Tell me what you were doing, Please."
Kylie sighed, she knew that was a possibility. She looked at Cody, "You knew the pack's tradition?"
"Not fully," he admitted, "Dad told me some of the details today."
Kylie studied his face. "If you didn't know, why did you protect me?"
"I knew something dark happened in our past. Brandon said he wouldn't allow it to happen to you, I don't think he knows everything either." Cody admitted.
Kylie went back to the original question, "The pack did some horrible things, I gave Kitty the right to choose her future." Kylie said with a smile, "Escort us to the residence."
"Of course," he answered with a bow. As they walked toward the pack-house, many of the members were watching Kylie and her mates. He had taken Kylie's arm and they walked together like old friends. "You severed their bond?" Cody finally asked. He glanced sideways at her, feeling her lean more and more on him.
"I did," she said glancing to her side at him.
"How, Luna?" he whispered out.
"Moon Goddess remember?" she said with a small smile.
"Well, s**t," he mumbled out, supporting her arm more. "You're walking to the house so the pack sees you are not phased by any of this?"
Kylie winked at him.
"Once we reach the house, you are done walking," he said glancing at her mates.
"Luna," she heard from several members as she walked by. She smiled at them, the sun was just coming up. The process had taken so much from her but she continued to smile. As the door opened to the Pack-house, Griffin immediately picked Kylie up and carried her the rest of the way to the door.
