It's been about 2 weeks since I've gotten back to Kali. I will always love Kali, but I'm missing Florida. Not really Florida, just my baby Sydney. Her birthday coming up in 4 days and I want to get her something.

I was walking around the mall trying to find something perfect for Sydney. After about 2 hours of walking around, I came up with the perfect gift.

I was driving home when I got a phone call.

"Yo"

"D, get to the trap now. Big J over here"

"The f-" the line went dead. Shit

I pulled up to the trap, grabbed both my guns from the glove compartment and run inside. I seen bodies everywhere but nun of them I recognized. I run throughout the whole trap, and I found everyone in room 13. That's where people are taken to be tortured or killed.

It was no surprise when I found Keyshawn in there. This room was like his second home.

I saw Big J tied to a chair, and Keyshawn standing in front of him with a baseball bat that had barbed wire around it.

Keyshawn look like he was possessed. His eyes were completely taken over by black and he just stared at Big J.

"So what made you think you could come in my trap and expect things to be sweet?" Keyshawn asked.

"I just wanted to talk" Big J said, shrugging.

"Just talk? You brought like 300 niggas with you and y'all started shooting first. How is that wanting to talk?" Keyshawn asked raising his voice.

"Had to make an entrance" Big J said smiling.

Keyshawn took no time swinging the bat at the side of Big J face. The room was filled with his loud piercing screams while Keyshawn just grinned.

"Leave his ass here. I want someone in here everyday to torture him and I'll think about when it's time to end him." Keyshawn said leaving the room. The bat was still stuck in Big Js face, just hanging.

I found Keyshawn upstairs smoking a blunt, staring off into space."Brodie you good?" I asked as he passed the blunt to me

"I'm straight. So you found out what you getting Sydney for her birthday? " he asked trying to change the subject.

"After walking around the mall for 2 hours, and not getting anything I thought of the perfect gift." I said making him smile at me."Ew nigga why you smiling at me like that?"

"Cause I see how you get when you talk about my sister. You get hella happy" he said

"Oh I guess." I said smiling and think about Sydney.

"Nigga is you blushing?" Keyshawn asked chuckling.

"Hell naw bruh. Ok enough about me, we gotta pack"

"We going to see Sydney ain't we?" he asked taking a long drag of the blunt.

"Of course now hurry up. I wanna be there early to go shopping for her gift again." I said standing up.

"My sister making you go soft right before my eyes" he said laughing

" Whatever just get packed and meet me at my house"

I've been getting those calls more often, where I answer, hear heavy breathing then hang up but I don't let them get to me anymore.

I was on my way home from the mall. Audrey and I went shopping for a outfit to wear to my party. I pulled up in my drive way, and went to check the mailbox. It was mostly junk mail, but then I came across a letter from the man I least expected.

Jordan also known as the reason why my own mother kicked me out at 16; The man that tried to take my innocence; the man my mother chose over me.

I didn't even want to read it and see what bull he had to say. I jogged upstairs, took a shower, and laid down. I was watching Single Ladies and eating hot wings when I got a call from an unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Sydney, Sydney, Sydney. You're in a lot of trouble now" a deep voice said over the phone "Your brother f****d up, and you're gonna pay"

The line went dead and I panicked. I immediately called my brother to see what was going on.

"Key, someone just called and said you made a mistake that I'm gonna pay for" I rambled.

"Relax baby girl. Its nothing"

"You sure?"

"Yea, I got everything under control" I sighed in relief and hung up. After Single ladies went off, I fell into a deep sleep.

*3 Days later*

*Birthday party*

I am finally 19. I kinda expected to wake up and feel different, like a woman but I didn't.

Today my girls took me out for a girls day out. We got our nails done, hair done and went to the mall.

The party started at 8 and when I got home it was 6:46. I took a nice long shower, and rubbed lotion all over my body.

I put on my black fitted crop top, with my jean overalls and my black white and red Jordan 11's. I flat ironed my hair and tied a black and red bandana around my head. I was going for a female thug look.

I looked in the mirror and liked what I saw. I sprayed 'love spell' on me, grabbed my phone and keys and jogged downstairs. When I was all ready, it was 7:54 so I made my way to Audrey house to pick her up.

When she got in the car, I made my way to pick up Ashanti, Raven and Shirley. On the way to the party, we were to turnt up. The music was blaring through the speakers and everyone was singing or rapping.

We pulled up to club LIV. When I walked inside I saw all my friends and young family members there. They looked like they were having a good time. I greeted everyone, and made my way to the back.

As I was walking, someone grabbed my arm "Happy birthday Syd" I automatically knew who it was.

Damian.

I turned around, and jumped into his arms and hugged him tight.

"I missed you so much Damian" I said

"I missed you so much more" he said wiping my tears that I didn't even know were there."Baby why you crying?" he asked.

"I don't even know." I smiled "How long you staying this time?"

"Till you want me to leave" he said smiling

"Really? You're staying?" I asked jumping up and down.

"Yes really. Keyshawn and I took care of business back home. We gonna start business down here, just so I can be closer to you" he said rubbing my cheek with his thumb.

"Aww that's so sweet" I said kissing his lips.

Oh I missed these lips so much. He bit down on my bottom lip and I let him explore my mouth with his tongue. He wrapped his arms around my waist tight while I put my arms around his neck.

Just as he brought his hands down to my ass, Audrey pulled me away.

"Excuse me everyone, Excuse me" Audrey said trying to get everyone attention but failing."Hey, I know y'all heard me, s**t" she said finally gettorng everyone's attention."We are all here to celebrate Sydney's 19 birthday. We came to turn up, get wild and have fun." she said making everyone cheer.

Damian wrapped his arms around my waist from behind while Audrey continued to give her speech. Everything was going good till I heard yelling. I look up to see Monica and Keshia at the entrance.

I walked towards them and when Keshia saw me, she mugged me but I let it slide since I'm being the 'bigger woman' or whatever.

"What's going on here? Why y'all here?" I asked

"We came to party like everyone else" Monica said.

"Ok well this is my party so come back another day or go to a different club" I said grabbing Audrey and walking away. I don't have time for them tonight.

"Ok we can do that" Monica said smirking at me and leaving.

I went back to Damian and we started our conversation where we left off.

"So Sydney, have you thought about being my girl yet?" he asked pulling me into his lap.

"Yes I have"

"And what's your answer ma?" he asked looking me in my eyes

"Yes" When I answered him, the biggest smile spread across his face and his eyes lit up.

He leaned in to kiss me but Keyshawn ran up to us and said something in Damians ear that made his eyes turn black.

"Baby what's wrong" I asked standing up.

"Nothing we got-" before he could finish his sentence, I heard gun shots, screams, and the last thing I remember seeing and hearing is Damian.

"Come on baby, stay with me. Everything will be ok." Then everything went black
