Epilogue
They rode the trails at Canyon Lake every Friday after that. Some Fridays they took Becca’s horses, while others Nikki brought hers and Becca ponied Dreamy. By the third Friday they’d come to the decision that two arm’s lengths were enough of a social distance and they let their fingertips touch whenever their horses came close enough. They talked and laughed, but they also argued vehemently, and finally agreed to occasionally disagree. In June, when the new semester started, Becca began taking online classes at the local community college.
