“Where do you want the date to be?”
She blinked at the question, his eyes darkened at her. “You mean I get to choose?” she asked in a hurry.
“Yes, I took you to the carnival the last time. I doubt there’s any carnival this Saturday afternoon.”
“You never know…. But maybe a park. Yeah just a park, a dog park would be nice and we could look at dogs too.” Parks were nice, there was fresh air, trees and preferably a lot of people around them.
A soft sigh erupted from the man, and she sucked in a breath. She managed to not bring him back into his house… at least that was something that a man who was feeling down needed to avoid. Who was she kidding?! The look and tone of his voice frightened her, she wasn’t sure what the man would have done if she was taken there.
