The hubbub of the people, the sound of the violins and instruments—everything was in the background for a certain blonde woman making her way past the crowd. Her head was still in the clouds to notice anything else. A group of people had settled comfortably back in their white tables, dining and talking amongst family and friends. Couples and eligible ladies and bachelors conversing and dancing in the center of the ballroom. She paid no heed to them at all.
