Sofia Rhys. Beeps. Consistent beeps. That’s all I could hear coupled with a distant ring that slowly decreased the more I felt myself slowly growing consciousness to the surrounding. Then, I heard it. Distant voices that I couldn’t recognize, I’d never heard them before no doubt. They were low, as if trying to not disturb someone—probably me. However, I wished they spoke a bit louder, perhaps then I’d make sense of what’s going on by putting together their sentences. My whole body felt heavy, like something is weighing them down, leaving me immobile. I tried to lift my finger at least, relief filling me up when I was able to shift my finger.
