Nightmare

CHAPTER 11

I woke up when I felt something crawling on my skin. My head hurt too much but I tried to open my eyes to find out where I was.

When I opened my eyes I was surprised to find myself in a warehouse. I was even more surprised to see so many spiders around me.

"What the heck!" "I stood up in shock and then pressed my body to the wall of the warehouse.

I looked at the crawling spiders, it was not an ordinary spider because it was a bit bigger than I was used to. I feel the tightness of my chest. I have an arachnophobia, an intense fear of spiders.

I looked around as almost all of them approached the direction I was standing. I swallowed again and again because I could think of no way to escape. I don't see an exit door, nor do I see a window. The only light that serves is the moonlight coming from the small holes in the galvanized wall.

I was even more confused when I felt something crawling on my leg. I felt the hairs on my body stand on end in extreme fear. I feel goosebumps.

I jumped so that they could not climb on my body, kicking them until they were crushed. But I feel like they are not diminishing because of their sheer number.

This is one of my weaknesses. Those demons know very well what my weakness is. They will really seriously lock me in this dream to face my fears.

"Don't stick to me s**t!" I cursed when some of them crawled on my legs again.

I can already feel the tears flowing in my eyes. This is hell!

I ran away from there but I just circled around the whole corner of the warehouse. This is so annoying!

I tried to close my eyes and try to control what was happening around me, but just like before nothing happened. I'm such a fool, damn it.

Why can't I lucid dream? Why ?! What's happening ?

I pulled myself together in extreme annoyance along with a loud sob.

"Where the heck are you, Raze ?!" I shouted annoyingly as I continued to kick the spiders approaching me. But because of the sheer number of them I was not able to remove them all from my body.

I can now ffeel something crawling on my arm and shoulder. I kept retreating because I felt like I was going to faint, I couldn’t breathe. My chest is beating too fast.

"Get off me stupid spiders !!" I scream as I continue to remove them from my body. I was disgusted, I felt that even though they were no longer in my body, something was still attached.

I was so annoyed that I kicked the wall of the warehouse, I want to get out of this hell! I pushed it a few times and kicked it until a small door opened there.

With the force of my thrust I sank to the floor of a warehouse room. When I noticed the spiders following me, I quickly closed the door, which was also made of galvanized iron.

I chased after my breath when I leaned my body against the door then closed my eyes.

"Please bring me somewhere else." I whispered in the air, hoping that when I opened my eyes I would be somewhere else.

But as expected, lucid dreaming still did not work. I was shaken with so much annoyance, I couldn’t understand. I'm confused.

But when I rolled my eyes around I was even more surprised. My heart was pounding as I watched the man now lying on the floor.

"Raze ..." I mentioned his name when I recognized him.

Unlike the warehouse I was in before, here was different. Too much broken equipment and it's so messy around. I slowly walked closer to him but I stopped when I suddenly stepped on something.

"Bullshit!" I jumped in panic when I saw many small snakes on the floor. I backed away as it scrambled closer to me.

As I continued to retreat I saw a wood just on the side of the door so I quickly picked it up and beat the small snakes crawling on the floor.

I didn't even bother to kill them all because I was in a hurry to approach Raze. I knelt down in front of him then tried to wake him up.

"Wake up jerk." I said to him annoyingly while shaking his shoulders. "Raze wake up, what the heck!"

I slapped his cheek lightly causing him to slowly open his eyes. I could see in his eyes the weakness and so much fear that I didn't know why.

I looked at my hand when he suddenly hold it.

When our skins came together again I suddenly felt very dizzy. I tried to open my eyes but my vision darkened until I completely lost consciousness.

A few moments later I felt someone tapping my cheek so I was shocked to open my eyes. Raze's gaze flashed at me as I leaned against a large trunk.

My eyes widened as I looked around, I stood up straight and then looked around the place where we were. We are no longer in the warehouse. I can now see tall buildings and parked cars. We're here again.

"What happened?" I asked him. I looked at what he was wearing, it wasn't as dirt as it used to be. I also looked at my own body. I rubbed my wound on my stomach and arm. I was shocked when it was all gone. "What's happening here Raze?" I asked again.

Instead of answering my questions, he just avoided looking at me. I don't understand him. I couldn’t understand what he was doing, he's acting so weird. We are together but I feel like there is a huge wall between the two of us.

Is it right for me to trust him all night? I don't even know him. I feel like he knows something I don’t know.

I feel like he's not telling me something. Just like what happened today. When I realized that all this was just a dream, it was even more confusing.

"I don't understand Raze." I told him without looking at him. I looked straight in front of me. "I don't understand what happened earlier, I didn't have a lucid dream but we are here now. I didn't control what happened but why is it like this? Earlier, when we separated. did everything to have a lucid dream, but nothing happened. It's not working. Is that possible? "I asked him but he still didn't say a word.

I felt his mysteriousness even more at this time. He's giving me more reason to doubt him.

"If I wasn't the one who did lucid dreaming earlier, who did it ?" I asked him then looked straight into his eyes. I need an answer because I'm confused. My mind is a mess. "Give me an answer Raze." I said.

"Zayn.."

He couldn't continue what he was going to say when suddenly the ground shook where we were standing.

I was caught in the trunk as I looked around.

My eyes widened when I saw the ground split in half.

"Shit." I heard Raze swear while also looking at the cracked ground. He suddenly took my hand and we quickly ran.

What the heck is happening?

Earlier, people who became demons were our enemies, snakes and spiders followed. What about now?

It's confusing.

I don't understand anything anymore.

Despite my doubts about Raze I don’t know why until now I let myself go with him.

I don't want to trust him because I feel like he's hiding something from me. I just know his name but he's a total stranger.

But in our situation, he was the only one with me. I just need someone to be with just for this whole night.

I have to trust him.
