Chapter Two

‘Princess, are you nearly finished in there?’ Blaze called through, tapping his fingers on the bathroom door as he waited patiently for Elise to emerge from her shower.

‘I’m coming, it’s not as easy as it used to be to get back into my clothes again’ came Elise’s grumpy voice before the lock clicked in the door and the she wolf stepped out straight into her Mate’s embrace.

‘You are more than welcome to walk around naked if it helps’ Blaze replied, his eyes shining hopefully, making the young woman chuckle as she swatted his arm.

‘Yeah, I am well aware that you would have no problem with that, this is how I got into this mess in the first place’ she growled playfully, pointing at her swollen belly. ‘The only problem with your plan is that I really like eating and I don’t think you’ll let me go down to breakfast without my clothes on’ she added with a wink as the Beta growled unintentionally.

‘No man is seeing my princess in her birthday suit, that gorgeous sight is for my eyes only, anyone who looks at you for too long will soon be without their head’ he grumbled under his breath, Elise still hearing him as she grinned.

‘Still so possessive, I've been here with you for four years now you know, I am really not going to go anywhere’ she teased placing a kiss on his lips.

‘I’ll never stop being possessive over you Princess’ Blaze replied softly as he kissed his way across her cheek and down her neck, drawing a groan from the young girl’s lips, her neck automatically tilting to the side for him as his hands roamed her body.

‘Blaze’ she moaned, trying to fight her hormones that were calling for her mate to take her, ‘Growing a person here.’

‘I know Princess and you have never looked so f*****g delicious’ the warrior agreed as he continued to attack her neck, his canines extending to graze gently over her skin.

‘Your child needs food’ the she wolf murmured, her eyes closed, her body frozen in place from his touch.

Pulling away reluctantly, Blaze lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it softly, ‘if our baby wants food, then our baby will get food’ he replied with a smile before pulling her carefully to the door of the room, outside and down the corridor to the stairs.

Making their way into the dining room, the pair waved in greeting as pack members called out their good mornings to them before queuing up with their plates to get some food.

Blaze chuckled as he watched his mate pile everything she could reach onto her plate, finally satisfied after she managed to balance a fried egg on top of the overflowing plate. ‘You sure you have enough Princess?’ he teased, ‘you want me to get a second plate?’

‘No need’ Elise replied with a wink, ‘I can just help myself to your plate after I finish mine.’

Eyes widening, Blaze hurriedly piled more food on his plate before following the she wolf to one of the tables and sitting down, Elise attacking her bacon like a starved animal with a loud groan of appreciation.

‘Princess? Do you think you can keep the noises to a minimum?’ Blaze whispered.

Looking up into the Beta’s lust filled eyes, she grinned wickedly as she shook her head. Letting out another orgasmic moan, she held his gaze before swallowing and replying, ‘you have no idea how good this bacon is to a craving she wolf, leave me and my bacon alone to enjoy our moment.’

Looking around, the Beta glared angrily at the other males who were staring over at the pair until they quickly looked away. Turning back to Elise he tilted his head to look at her in amusement as he grinned down at her. ‘Well just be aware that I intend to bring out much louder moans from you later than that bacon can ever make you produce’ he said in a low voice, causing the she wolf to blush.

Finishing up their food, Elise, good to her word, helping herself to her mate’s plate once hers was cleared, Blaze picked up their crockery and made his way over to the rack to dispose of them before taking Elise’s hand in his and leading her out of the dining room toward the stairs.

Making their way slowly back to their room, Blaze keeping a supportive hand on his mate’s back in case she tripped. Entering the room, Elise dropped down onto the bed with a dejected look.

‘What’s wrong princess?’ Blaze asked immediately, worry etched into his features as she studied her clouded expression.

Elise gave a small smile, reaching out for him and pulling him down next to her, encasing his hand in both of her own. ‘Nothing much, it’s just . . ‘ she started hesitantly.

‘Go on princess, I can’t help if you don’t tell me’ Blaze urged placing a kiss on her forehead.

Meeting his gaze, she shrugged, ‘it’s silly really, it’s just, I miss my brother . . do you think we could go and see him for a few days?’ she asked hopefully.

Blaze’s eyes saddened slightly, ‘baby, you are three weeks away from your due date, I don’t think dragging you over to Oak grove is the best idea’ he started slowly.

Elise’s face fell at his words, her shoulders slumping, making him feel awful, ‘princess I'm sorry, I know you miss him’ Blaze added pained, Bliss howling in his head to see his mate upset.

Patting his hand, Elise smiled up at him, ‘I know it’s not really feasible baby’ she replied softly, ‘it’s me being all hormonal, I'm just finding the closer I get to our baby arriving, the more I want Brandon here’ she confessed with a slight shrug.

‘How about as soon as the baby is here and you are up to it we go to Oak Grove and stay for a week?’ Blaze offered, trying to bring back the young woman’s smile.

Raising her head, Elise nodded immediately, ‘really? We can stay that long?’ she asked hopefully.

Blaze put his arm around her protectively, ‘of course princess, we will go and spend an entire week with your brother, Jayden and the kids. That gives Jayden time to get all emotional over our new family member, you time to get emotional over the boys, and then Brandon and I can get drunk together ’ he winked as Elise laughed and gave him a soft punch to the arm.

‘Nuh uh mister, there will be no getting drunk around the new born, you made this so you will be sharing the night time get ups with me’ she replied sternly.

Laughing, Blaze, captured her lips with his in a soft kiss, ‘I wouldn’t have it any other way princess, if I could, I would never sleep just so I could sit and watch you both, I don’t want to miss a second.’

‘Smooth talker’ Elise muttered, looking up at him through her lashes, ‘I'm really glad that I can’t get pregnant again right now.’

Growling, Blaze pulled her backwards onto the bed, his hands starting to roam her body as she groaned longingly.

‘Blaze, can you come to the office?’ suddenly resounded Lily’s voice in his head, groaning loudly, his eyes clouded as he replied.

‘Right now Alpha?’ he moaned.

‘Put that she wolf down Beta, and get in here’ came Lily’s amused response.

Letting out a sigh, Blaze sat up and took hold of Elise’s hands, pulling her back up into a sitting position, ‘I have to go to the Alpha’s office’ he sighed regretfully, his fingers running up his mate’s stomach lovingly.

Standing up, Elise grinned, ‘well get going then, don’t keep her waiting or we may not have the chance to make any siblings for this little one’ she replied, arching her eyebrow.

Standing up, he slowly made his way to the door, stopping with his hand resting on the handle and looking back, ‘what will you be doing while I'm gone?’

Elise coyly pushed a stand of hair behind her ear as she replied, ‘well I think I'm going to get naked and have a long, hot steamy shower by myself’ she whispered seductively, causing the werewolf to groan loudly.

‘Baby, you are torturing me here’ he moaned desperately.

Walking over to him, she smiled as she leaned closer and kissed him, ‘I know’ she replied with a wink before stepping back, turning away and heading to the bathroom, shutting the door behind her, giggles still audible through the door.

Shaking his head, Blaze opened the door and walked through, shutting it and locking it behind him. Even with Lily now as Alpha, he still took no chances with his mate, if she was naked in the shower, he was locking the door.

Setting off down the corridor, a small smile suddenly crept across his face as an idea came to him, pulling out his phone he quickly scrolled through his contacts in search of a name. Pressing the button, he waited as the line rang at the other end, tapping his foot impatiently.

The line connected and the deep tone of his brother in law could be heard at the other end.

‘Hello? Blaze? Is it Elise, is she OK?’ came Brandon’s panicked voice from the other end.

‘Chill man, she is fine’ Blaze chuckled as he leaned against the wall, ‘though I am ringing about her, mate. You able to leave your mate for a few days? don’t suppose you fancy a surprise trip to Blue lake?’ he asked with a grin.

Brandon laughed, ‘let me guess, my little sister is getting antsy and is demanding you bring her to our pack?’ he asked.

‘How did you know?’ Blaze asked in amusement.

‘Jayden was the same just before she had Alex, I swear Jordan near enough moved in for the last two weeks, she couldn’t bare to have him leave her side! Never had to do it with Connor or Bailey just the first one’ the reply came.

Chuckling, Blaze grinned, ‘so are you up for a trip?’

‘Absolutely mate, I miss my little sister like crazy and I'm going insane the closer to her due date she gets’ the warrior admitted.

‘Awesome, maybe we wont tell either of the girls, lets keep it a surprise’ Blaze added with a smirk, ‘no how is Jayden and the boys?’ he asked as he started to walk again.

‘Boys are as much trouble as always, and I haven’t told Angel yet but . . she’s going to be an auntie again’ Brandon confided.

‘Goddess mate! You are asking for trouble! You better hope it’s a girl this time or the Alpha is going to murder you’ he grinned to himself.

‘If Jayden doesn’t get to me first, she has already told me categorically if I haven’t put a girl in there that she will cut my balls off’ Brandon replied with a groan.

Chatting for a few more minutes, Blaze finally reached the Alpha’s office, saying goodbye he hung up before lifting his fist and rapping smartly on the door.
